I'll admit that I may have missed that these straws were made of glass when I ordered them, and my wife has sworn that she'll never use them because of that, but after handling them, I can say that they are high quality. I've yet to have any issues, though I could see a scenario where one may get chipped on the end and no longer be useable.Overall, the tips are smoothly rounded and the glass is nice and thick. I've not tested how durable they are, being glass and all, but time will tell over continued use. If you're fine with always hand-washing your straws and aren't prone to accidents, these could be a good addition for you.

Nice thick-walled glass straws. I dropped one onto the countertop while unpackaging and it was completely fine. However, one was wonky and bent at a completely different angle than the others. So quality control isn't quite there. But it is still usable. I've never used glass straws before so this is a little bit of a change (usually use plastic reusable straws or paper/compostable). I do like items that can be re-used and I'm trying to get away from plastic so these are a good option to do that. There's a lot of options with these straws and even smaller kids sized ones. Priced right so I'm happy

Knocking off a star because of the packaging. The ends of the packaging were not taped down so when it arrived, both ends of the box were completely open and one of the straws were loose inside the bubble wrapped envelope. Thankfully the bubble wrap kept it from breaking. The straws themselves are surprisingly sturdy and I love that they are fatter. I make fruit smoothies for my kids when they get home from school and the metal straws we've been using were too skinny to suck up the thick smoothie. I love that I can ensure that these are throughly clean inside unlike the reusable straws that aren't translucent.

These straws are made out of glass So if you are drinking something cold, the straw is also cold.They are the perfect length to fit in any of your cups.

This is really good quality glass straws for hot drinks (tea and coffee)I notice people using straws in hot drink and am guilty of doing that too.I use a straw for most of my drinks so minimize staining my teeth. The glass straw takes a bit of adjustment since it's thicker than the thin plastic straws but atleast I know I'm not drinking plastic residual.Wish they had a case for traveling with it. I use a paper bag to keep it in my bag (just in case it shatters).

I love these. Thick and sturdy. I'm trying to reduce my use of plastic, so these straws are a perfect alternative! Another advantage of glass straws is that you know when it's clean or not. The 2 brush cleaners are a thoughtful addition to the set. Another winning quality is that the straws fit the common straw cover (not included in this set, I just want to point it out). I’m already a big fan of glass straws. I have tried numerous other materials that are ecologically friendly but I always come back to glass. There’s no strange texture or taste and I like the feel when I sip from them. I do find that with their fragility they eventually chip, though I have never had one chip in a way that would cut lips or fingers. But still when they chip it’s time to toss and replace.I have only had the standard long straws before this so I was excited to try both the bent and the short ones. What a great addition to my collection. The bent ones are easy to use when I am lying down and don’t want to fully sit up. And the short ones are perfect for a water glass I keep on my bed stand.These come nicely presented in a specially designed cardboard case and would make a terrific gift.
