Great books!,, my new favorite author can’t wait for the next book!! Great love story and very well written! Wow!

As I was reading this book, I thought about how I would rate it. My feelings changed a couple of times. The plot of this book was intense. I'm not sure how the author came up with the title, but based solely on that, I thought it would be more lighthearted.Colt and Nell were damaged individuals. I really disliked Colt at the beginning of the book. I wasn't overly find of Nell because she was such a doormat. I can't say I ever grew to like either character. I felt sorry for Nell and tolerated Colt.I thought I was going to dislike Nell's sister, Hannah, but she came closest to normal out of anyone in the book. Their mother was hateful and their father was a wuss.Nell was just a sad character. Sad, fragile, apologetic, and pitiful. at least Colt finally came to terms with who he was and who he wanted to be in life. There were so many secrets, lies, and miscommunications, or no communication in this book it was crazy.Then I feel like the book went off on a completely different tangent when it took us from Manhattan to Texas. It references things that occurred in book 1, "Love With An Imperfect Cowboy". That was Hannah and Liam's story. Maybe that subplot will be the basis for an additional book about Liam's cousin Gabe.The one thing I can say about this book is that it was intriguing enough to keep me engaged. I still am not sure that I would say I enjoyed it. A little too much angst for me, among other things.I have a pretty good idea who is the other person in East's secret. I will have to check out book 3 to see if I'm right. Nell and Colt did get what I will call their HFN.I would recommend you read this book and judge for yourself. Love with an Imperfect Maid, is Ann Major's second book in her new “Lone Star Dynasty” series and it a real winner. Nell was the unappreciated twin, the one who could not get her mother to love her. Her sister Hannah was her mother's favorite and could not do any wrong. Hannah wedding to JC (Colt) was Nell's nightmare. Nell was totally in love with Colt and cause quite a stir at Colt's bachelor party. To add to debacle, Nell's mother cruelly informs Nell the secret of her birth right after Hannah's and Colt's wedding ceremony . When he confronts Nell and try's to console her. Hannah walks in and is devastated by what she see and runs away from her own wedding. Where she goes and what happens when she getting there is the plot of Love With An Imperfect Cowboy Ann Major's first book in this new series. I truly enjoyed reading Love with an Imperfect Maid, it is one the best romance books I have read this year and I think so too.I received this book from the author and I am freely posting this fair and balance review.

Love with an Imperfect Maid is book #2 in the Lone Star Dynasty series and hooked me from the first page. When Nell's sister Hannah introduces Nell to her boyfriend, Nell is immediately drawn to him eventually falling in love with him. It then breaks her heart that Hannah and Colt get engaged and eventually marry but on Hannah's and Colt's wedding day Nell and Colt are caught by Hannah is a misleading situation. Thinking the worse Hannah takes off in Colt's car and smashes it. Colt(who in his own way is drawn to Nell) was just trying to comfort Nell for she had just found out that her mother Audrey is really not her biological mother which has explained why Audrey treated Hannah a heck of alot better than she treated Nell all her life. Nell and Colt are drawn to each other emotionally and sexually, with many many emotions and bumps along the way to their happily ever after. Get this book to find out how they deal with all the obstacles along the way. The emotions, the family dynamics, the insecurities and the great chemistry make for a great book.I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.

In this story you read about Nell, Hannah's twin sister. She ruined her sister's wedding by being caught in a compromising position with the groom, Colt. But not all things are black and white. She finds out that the family she had was not what she thought. Her life changed in an instant. Can he be able to help her heal? Or does he still want Her sister? There is a next book about the parents. Can't wait to read that one.

I can't believe how quickly this story reached out and grabbed me by the heartstrings and wouldn't let go. You will need tissues for this one. 😭Nell tried her darnedest to stay away from Colt, her twin sisters, Hannah, fiancé... and she couldn't help it when she fell in love with him. He just thought of her as a sister until the night of his bachelor party. When Nell tries to do the right thing and avoid the wedding her whole world falls apart. 💔💗🔥💕This book just about broke my heart but it does have a happily ever after by the time it's over.
