Exactly what I wanted!
I have spent the past couple years researching and learning about all of the different multi-effect units on the market and the Nux Trident is the one I finally picked. It’s got all of the amps and cab IRs I was looking for and the ability to upload your own IRs that you have made or bought. I have followed Nux for the past 6 years and have sold hundreds of their products at my local music shop I used to work at, and this is by far their best work yet. The versatility, the different options, the sound, all of the tone is why I have picked the Trident. It is amazing value for the money, it’s built to last, so easy to use, and functions just like you would expect. This will be a unit I will use for years to come.If you get confused with any of the controls, Nux has made great tutorial videos to help you learn and understand the unit. It is a great product that I highly recommend!

Best all in one modeler ever
This is simply the best Amp modeler and effects unit out there. It is so simple to use as easy as using regular analog pedals. But has really sweet digital goodness.. It's built like a tank and extremely affordable. I have had all the popular Amp modelers and I've sold them all and got my self the trident best decision ever. I use for my job teaching guitar lessons and for my band and recording as well. Do yourselves a favor get one you will love it!

4/5 with PC app; 3/5 as a standalone device.
I play music as an escape from my computer screen, so I wanted a full-manual multi-effects unit. I chose the Trident over an ME-90, but it wasn't a good fit for me. You really can't avoid menu diving on the device, and this menu system is horrible. But the Trident has some REALLY good stuff too, and it could be a fantastic option for players who don't mind some computer time. I'm giving it 4 stars for the people whose top priority isn't standalone use. Most importantly, it makes very, very good noises. I'd call the modeling quality "very good" and many of the effects "excellent." It has different output modes for DI, amp front, and amp back. You can put the FX loop anywhere you want. I'd happily use this on my desk for recording. And it's versatile enough to be useful in ways you might not normally think of using a multi-fx unit. The physical mod / reverb / fx / delay controls are really easy to use and modify. The spring reverb drips and reacts dynamically. The tape delay includes the analog quirks. If you like distortion, you'll want to get most of it out of the amp models. You can only switch your boost pedal on/off - no knobs for girls and boys who play dirty. The modeler took my real OD pedals well, though. The hardware is overengineered - I've looked inside. Nux clearly is showing off with the bill of materials. The shell is one piece of THICK die-cast aluminum. Inputs and outputs have quality DACs, preamps, and proper impedance. Effects and modeling is split between dual CPUs (general purpose but high-spec ARM). Nux claims 1ms latency. My biggest two sound-related problems as of firmware 2.0.1 : there is a short audio cut when switching between presets (not good onstage.) And to access the tuner, you have to hold the boost switch down. This means just before or after tuning, your guitar is going to get very loud or quiet for a moment. I'd be terrified to tune in a church service.Outside of the effects processing, there are a handful of software glitches both in the device and the desktop software - enough for me to tolerate as a home gamer, and unlikely to come up at a basic gig. But I wouldn't rely on it for full time professional needs.
