Just right
Just the right amount of action as well as twists and turns to hold my interest. And the classic Higgins ending as the characters intertwine. Highly recommended reading. On to the next Higgins classic.

Who is the Angel of Death?
I have read almost all the Sean Dillon novels. However, I missed the first couple, so am finding out how he became what he is. This one had a great premise and, for the most part, followed through. I liked how Jack Higgins let his characters grow with each book. The story, especially how he added the historical figures (Clinton, Majors, etc.) in, was well done. The action was crisp and the ending was exactly what it had to be. A 4.3 out of 5 rating.

Sean Dillon's Best Tale
Jack Higgins is a master of engrossing stories. His Sean Dillon series covers the adventures of a reformed IRA enforcer now working on the side of "good" for the British Government as part of the Prime Minister's "Private Army.". Dillon's stories often rely on the reader having some history of the complicated storylines and repeating characters of the series' later volumes, but this story from early in the series needs little explanation. The plot for "Angel Of Death" revolves around a mysterious terrorist group that suddenly appears out of nowhere and begins murdering political and military persons on all sides of the Arab, Russian, and British international conflict. It is so crucial to the tension that I not reveal the amazing forces and twists that bring this new terrorist cell together (or are they really terrorists?) and the the process of unmasking and bringing them to book (sorry, old English term!)demonstrates the tenacity and brilliance that is the Sean Dillon Character.I have read every one of Higgins' Dillon series since the 1990's and the Angel Of Death is by far the best of them!

It's 'OK'
I had loaded and read the KJV Bible and Martin Cruz Smith's Gorky Park with satisfaction. This Kindle book is OK, but there are frequent typos in the text. The errors are minor - so far - and do not interfere with cognition... but it is a bit disappointing. I am new to Kindle and hope this is not a bellwether.

Angel of Death is a good story but not the best
This story has Sean Dillon helping to save the peace talks to end the war in Ireland. While I did enjoy it there were several incidents that moved the story forward but were not plausible. The British Prime Minister confronts one of the villains only to have him run & disappear. Of course he ran and there was no police to help make an arrest.Really? That was too difficult to believe. There were other situations that were also unbelievable. The book was a good read but not one of JacK Higgins best .

Every book a stand alone wonder!
Jack is my favorite all time author. All his books tell a story of adventure and honor in the British tradition that I love. Being as I am primarily English Scotch with a little Irish and a touch of Viking Norwegian I guess you could chalk it up to heritage.

Dark
Another brilliant book.I am addicted to the escapades of Dillon and Ferguson.Totally unreal. But who can tell what goes on in the darker places of government.
