44 Years At The Pink Palace

Great read about perseverance.
I so enjoyed reading about all the encounters Emilio had with so many different kinds of people and how he dealt with all the different and often difficult personalities, but moreso than that, how he came to this country alone, not speaking English, was homeless for a while, and yet persevered through all the barriers, learned the language, became a US citizen, worked hard, and moved up the ladder at his job.

Enjoyable memoir that has it all
Emilio Trejoās tales are a joy to read. I found myself rooting for him as a young immigrant to America, happy for him as he advanced in his career, and angry for him at the rude treatment he endured. His book is both an inside look at a famous hotelās famous guests and a testament to the American Dream. I read it in a day because I couldnāt put it down.

What a Journey!
I Loved reading this Book! I couldn't put it down. All of us have a curiosity about the Rich and Famous, and Emilio let us have a peek into their lives, all the while he was learning and living in a new world, that wasn't always kind to him, and yet he thrived in it. It's often said that what we look for the most while working is the "end" of our working days and not the "Journey". Emilio's Journey is why books are written. Muchos Gracias!

Fascinating and inspiring story
I bought this book (2 copies) recently and I've only read 20 pages so far. Love this book so far! It's fascinating to know where Emilio comes from and things he's seen working at Beverly Hilton for so many years. I highly recommend this book
