So far so good!
My midwife recommended one of these because I am carrying twins - if you're considering between this and some of the ones consisting of only a lower band, go for this one, it is worth it! TheFirst, some information on sizing to hopefully save someone else some of the same hassle that I had...If you go to the manufacturer's website, you will notice that they sell two products that look like this. They sell the "Prenatal Cradle" (non-adjustable) and then they sell this, which is actually called the "Best Cradle" and is adjustable.According to their website, sizing information for this product is as follows:Size | pre-pregnancy pant size | current WeightSmall | 3-10 | 90-165Medium | 8-16 | 150-220Large | 14-20 | 180-250I was size 6 pre-pregnancy and had weighed about 150 at 22 weeks when I ordered this (I'm pregnant with twins, starting weight was 130) - I actually ordered according to the size of the wrong product and the small at that time juuuust fit me at the largest setting. I exchanged it for the medium (thanks Amazon!) and that was a much better fit.I am 5'6", currently 160 (+30 lbs) and the cradle fits very comfortably on the middle settings.Pro's: - I have been wearing this all day, every day and I'm pretty sure this is saving both my back and helping to keep pressure off of my cervix (which is definitely more of a concern with twins) I'm currently at 28 weeks and feeling quite good. At first I started to take it off before dinner (I thought it was adding to my acid reflux) but found on those occasions my sciatic nerves started acting up. (Not much, but enough that I've not taken this thing off since!)Con's: - There are three settings for this, and each is about 3" apart making it very inconvenient if you happen to be between two. I've purchased some additional hooks that I may try to sew on if I need to move up a setting, but this seems like it's going to be a royal pain to adjust so I'm holding out and hoping it won't be necessary! - It does show under your top. Personally I don't care, because I'd rather have the support! You could easily cover it up with an under shirt, but that is going to get somewhat hot in summer. You also might be able to adjust it a bit by taking out the seam in the "x" in the front and sewing it up further down. It feels like it's been sewn a little bit high (on me anyway), I just haven't found the time to attempt it! - I have found that the strap in front can get irritating by the end of the day. If you have full tummy pants, just put the brace on top - yes, you will then have to re-adjust every time you use the bathroom, but this is not a big deal. I also have been using a "tummy sleeve" for those pants that don't go up far enough and that works well. In the summer, though, I expect this will get hot. That feels like a lot of cons, but the bottom line is that it is comfortable, I like wearing it and it really feels like it's helping! I've been wearing it for about a month now, and it's the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing that I take off.Only 4 stars because there are some very easy fixes that they could make to make it even better!

NOT sexy - best for last mos. of pregnancy
This is my 3rd pregnancy in 4 years and a good friend of mine rec this after carrying twins for 38 weeks who were 7 lbs each! Said it was a life saver. I was doubtful it would help but I've had lots of hip pain throughout this 3rd pregnancy and I've never worn a maternity support belt before - didn't feel I needed it and I work as an Esthetician so was on my feet working on clients til month 9 for preg 1 & 2. Out of desperation I started wearing this cradle in month 8 and it has helped. When I was smaller I didn't feel it was as helpful but maybe that's b/c I ordered a size Med and s/h gotten size Small.Key points:1. Yes it's ugly and the front straps will show under clothes unless you tuck them out of the way under your nursing bra hooks(good tip). If you are in pain you won't care.2. You could prob order a size down like others rec - I didn't thinking at pre preg size 8/10 (155 lbs), I usually gain at least 30+ lbs during pregnancy and would need the extra length. Right now at 32 weeks I wear it on the middle hooks (there are 3 sets). Where I wish there was more adjustment is the flexy material under your breasts - I guess in this respect bigger size is ok. After a long day it feels tight here and you can't let it out.3. Wish it had more sets of hooks around waist so you can adjust to shorter length during early months but suppose you could sew on your own. Also wish it wasn't white.4. I wear this over my bra and not over a tank top and don't think it scratches all that much. Granted during the summer in LA heat, I opted not to wear this b/c I was smaller and not in as much pain and it was too hot to wear with clothes. I also like this instead of the more traditional support belts b/c it's not made of neoprene or similar material which I found bulky and really hot under my clothes. When you're preggo you're already hot.5. I bought the prenatal mini cradle to try and that was stupid - just a big strip of elastic which you could make. Here w/ the prenatal cradle it's the whole contraption which makes more sense for the $$.I'd give it 5 stars if it had the above adjustments. I'd have been more inclined to wear in 2nd trimester if so and maybe that could've been a good preventive for aches and pains.

Amazing support for twin pregnancy!
I am 21 weeks pregnant with twins. I have a support belt from Motherhood from my 1st (singleton) pregnancy that I found to be uncomfortable and really rather unhelpful. I only tried wearing it 3 times and just gave up. (I did not have back pain with my first pregnancy, and have not had it - yet- my problem is that my belly feels too heavy and I want support holding it up!) The Motherhood belt seems to be just for back support. This one, however, provides both!I have the same complaints about it that other reviewers have noted - the shoulder straps show above the collar of most shirts (I solve this by safety pinning it to my bra straps - i'd like to attach something like lingere snaps directly to the shoulder straps, so I can just snap it around my bra straps). That helps for the collar problem with most shirts. It is still a problem with lower cut and v-neck shirts.I do wish there were more eye hooks on the part that supports my belly. I was a size 6 before pregnancy, and at 21 weeks with twins I have a belly about the same size as mine was when I was full term with my singleton 1st baby. I've been switching between the middle and loosest hooks. An option to hook it between those two would probably work better. It does look like it would be easy to add an extra set of eye hooks (and I just might do that), but so far it has been more of a minor irritation. I start most days on the middle hooks, and if/when it starts to feel like it's digging in I just adjust it to the looser option and it's fine for the rest of the day. Slightly less support that way, but still leaps and bounds better than no support. It is incredibly easy to make all of the adjustments while wearing this product. I can easily and quickly adjust it during one of my frequent trips to the bathroom at work. I wear the style of maternity pants that come up over my belly, so I do need to pull that down in order to adjust the belly support. It is not necessary to take it off or adjust it when going to the bathroom. (I remember the Maternity one being uncomfortable going to the bathroom while wearing). It is flexible enough to adjust well enough that it does not dig in anywhere while sitting.Although I wasn't experiencing any back pain before wearing this, I'm really loving the excellent back support. It feels great, and I have noticed that it helps me keep better posture, which I'm sure will prevent future back pain.Highly recommend this product, and also hope the manufacturer works on fixes for the two problems noted above (don't let those two things keep you from purchasing this product, though - they're minor and it's possible to work around them, which is worth it considering the incredible support it provides).

Just ok
I am pregnant with twins and I have had back, hip, and pelvic pain since about 19 weeks of pregnancy. A support belt was recommended by various medical professionals and based on the other reviews, I had high hopes for this one. However, I have found it to be only somewhat helpful. I do appreciate that it provides some support for the weight of my belly while I'm walking around at home. However, it hasn't resulted in a noticeable reduction in pain or discomfort and definitely was not worth the price. This may be because I can't wear it all the time, for the following reasons:First, I'm not sure why there are only three levels of adjustment. There are nearly four inches of space between each set of clasps and as a result, the belt is sometimes too tight or too loose while the size of my constantly growing belly is between clasps. It seems the company could have easily added five sets of clasps rather than three so that the belt would better adjust to the belly as it grows.Second, even when the belt properly fits the size of my belly, I find it to be too tight when I sit down. It pulls on the base of my belly and is very uncomfortable. For that reason, I have to undo it every time I sit down and put it back in place when I stand up. This means that I can't wear it to work because I don't have a private office and I don't want my coworkers to watch me adjust this belt underneath my clothing at my cubicle every time I sit down or stand up.Third, the belt is very apparent under even thick clothing. It shows under sweaters, so don't even think about wearing it under just a t-shirt. I agree with the many other reviewers who say that the straps by the neck show with all but the highest collars, but I didn't think that would be too much of a problem because I thought I could pin those straps aside a bit. However, even when that problem is resolved, the rest of the belt is very bulky under my clothes and looks very strange. I need to look professional at work and can't have weird bumps showing up all over the place under my clothing. Plus, my giant twin belly draws enough attention as it is - no girdle lines necessary!!

So far, so good!
I am 5'6", currently weight 155 lbs, and am 32 weeks pregnant with one baby. I have a long torso, so I don't stick out very far when I'm pregnant, but I carry REALLY low (my babies are so low that they never "drop"). Because I carry so low, I get really bad lower abdominal and lower back pain, and I find myself constantly holding up my belly to relieve some of the abdominal discomfort. My midwife recommended this style of cradle, and I'm so glad I ordered it.Based on other reviews of them running small, I ordered a Medium and am very pleased with how it fits. I was nervous about ordering the style that isn't adjustable, especially since my torso is so long, but I'm satisfied with how the shoulder straps adjust on this style. It feels very comfortable; the back support is great. The only reason why I dropped it one star is because the abdominal hooks to make it different sizes are spaced fairly far apart, and I wish it had more hooks spaced more closely together to get a more perfect fit. When I first received it, the smallest hooks were too tight, and the second hooks were not quite as tight as I wanted. I wore it on the second hooks. Even still, it provided significant support and relief from the pain, so I am not completely dissatisfied. There is a third set of hooks I can use for the last month when I start to really stick out. When ordering your size, keep in mind that the Medium is rated for 150-220 lbs and I currently am 155 lbs on the second set of hooks. I fully expect to need to move to the third set of hooks by the end of this pregnancy, but I can't imagine I'll gain much more than 10 lbs, if that, by the time I give birth. If you are on the higher end of the weight limit, err on the side of caution and order up a size.
