Q: What type of leather? Cow or goat?

The vendor-representation says it is buffalo. I wore it public today for the first time. I used the carrying strap and got several unsolicited compliments. One elderly, but sharped-witted, woman ran her hands over it several times and said that it was not stiff enough to be cowhide and too strong to be goat. When I told her it's buffalo, she lit up with delight and asked me urgently where I got it. When I said Amazon, she pulled out her iPhone! And it only took her 2 or 3 minutes to find it. She said, "Yup, buffalo. My grandson's going to love this!"

Q: Is this full-grain thick leather? Or just this thin poor quality Genuine leather, which is "real leather", but unfortunately the lowest grade quality.

This is full grain leather of very good quality. I own several genuine leather cases, including some from Italy. This one is one of the best cases I own.

Q: Can anyone share their experience with this bag for use it over 2 months? Any issues like or dislikes before I buy it. thx

I’ve had mine for about 6 months and absolutely love it. I get comments on it almost daily. Very good quality. I’m even thinking of getting a second one.

Q: What kind of oil should be used on this leather?

I imagine anything used for smooth leather. I use mink oil, which has worked great.
