Great Downpipe!
Fit was perfect. Welds looked good. Insides were smoothed out for great flow. Heavy wall stainless compared to my last downpipe that rusted out (Magnaflow). I was able to shim the transmission dipstick out with a few washers and tighten it in place (see photo). Then, I was able to gently wiggle the downpipe up into place easily. I used new 3” v-band clamps. I hand tightened the mounting bolt bracket which made it easier to get the v-band on the turbo connection. I used a ratchet strap to pull the exhaust forward slightly. Then, I used a floor jack and a couple blocks of wood to gently jack up on the front pipe until it met up perfect with the PPE downpipe. I had to watch a PPE video to know where the gasket was supposed to go (lower connection). I slipped the included exhaust gasket in between the downpipe and front pipe before I snugged up the jack on the frontpipe. That made positioning and tightening the v-band clamp easy.

Great fit, Upgrade, Quality, and Sound
Fit 2006 lbz duramax like a glove. Don’t bother even doing an exhaust if you’re not going to put on this down pipe as well. Makes a huge difference. Very good build quality and the oem down pipe is ridiculously restrictive.

Downpipe
It fits perfectly, good material definitely recommended

Lowered EGTs, better turbo spool
Definitely makes a huge difference compared to the OEM downpipe. Turbo spool and response is clearly improved as well as reduced exhaust gas temperature. Per most experiences the OEM downpipe is a pain to get out and requires unbolting the trans dipstick, removing the rear and turbo heat shields, as well as the passenger wheel well liner to facilitate removal. Replacement PPE pipe slides right in with no issue. As long as there’s no excessive slot build up, upper flange slides right in. Easy install thanks to this pipe; OEM on the other hand was the real fight.

Buy once cry once
Outstanding it’s PPE Looks great sounds great buy it once cry once it’s not worth going cheap for this one

Very thick thermal mesh
Very good product, but the thermal mesh is very thick, it cannot connect the transmission oil bar, you can only enrich a screw.

Great fit
2007 classic LBZ single cab. After the mess of getting the old one out, easy install. Not sure where the gasket though goes but oh well. Recommend to anyone reading, keep turbo side loose and tighten down front pipe first. Good quality and slipped right in after the trans dip stick was loose.

Great downpipe
Quality is great as usual from PPE. Fitment was perfect. Highly recommend. Installed on my 2005 LLY duramax

Perfect fit
Great product. All the welds looked like they were purged as the whole pipe was stainless. The wrap was super thick. Be sure the gear clamps aren’t going to hit the transmission like mine did while I was tightening lower bolt. Just had to re adjust the clamp out of the way. You absolutely feel a difference in throttle response and potentially more power in the higher rpm’s. The fit was great. Everything lined up. Only downside was the transmission dipstick tube bracket is only able to get one bolt back into place but it’s enough to secure the tube. Don’t be worried about the smoke and smell that comes from the wrap when the vehicle is hot. And it does stink but it goes away.
