Great album (only one single!!!)
This 10 track CD only contains one single (The Caterpillar) that appears on the Standing On A Beach compilation. Don't let that put you off, this fourth album from The Cure contains another 9 great tracks that you won't have on a compilation, like the classic Shake Dog Shake. If you like The Cure, you know you need to collect all the studio (and live) albums. What are you waiting for? Help Robert Smith's retirement fund & buy it now.

Give this Top a spin
The Top usually doesn't feature in Cure fans top 5 favourite Cure records, but that's only because The Cure have so many great albums. However, The Top on vinyl is the only way to properly listen to it, where it can breathe. From the pulsating opening 'Shake Dog Shake' the record is off to a strong start, and the rest of the album doesn't disappoint. It is amazing to think that Smith not only practically wrote the entire album but also played almost all the instruments on it.My personal favourites are Shake Dog Shake, Dressing Up, Piggy In The Mirror, The Caterpillar, but there are other gems such as the unsettling Wailing Wall. 'Give Me It' is the most mad energised song you'll ever hear. This Top keeps on spinning for me.I have this album on cassette and CD but the vinyl brings it to a whole new level. The clarity and power of the voice and instruments is staggering.

The Cure's best album.
This is my favourite Cure album- although it's reportedly not all that popular with so-called Cure 'fans'.I was lucky and some how managed to get a brand new remastered edition still sealed in cellophane for only £2.00 + p&p.
