I will give as complete a review as I can so that others will benefit. This is a beautiful shawl, but there are things that buyers should know. The label and the description say 100% wool, and that is what it feels like. It is not super soft like silk, pashmina or cashmere blends, so make no mistake, it does have the tiniest bit of scratchiness to it, but not so much as to make it uncomfortable to wear. I am very sensitive to that so I wanted to mention it. The colors are gorgeous and do not bleed when washed. I gave this a gentle cold water hand wash using Eucalan wool wash, and hung it to dry over the shower rod in the bathroom. It was dry by the next morning, mainly because it is very thin. The pattern appears to be screen printed on one side, and the design can be seen as muted on the other side. It is extremely large, I would think that a petite person would be swallowed by it. In spite of being very thin, it is quite warm, and my office is freezing! Because it is thin, it can be folded up small enough to be put in the outside pocket of a carry on bag. I think I will be using it as my go-to travel shawl, it will go with just about anything I wear. All in all, I think it is worth the $30+ I paid for it. My next purchase, however, would be a blend with silk or cashmere as I prefer the extra softness.

Alright, so I am a self professed scarf addict. Some people like shoes, some people like purses- my thing is scarves. They are versatile and a great way to add color and patterns to your outfits. That said, I have had many scarves in my day. This is my all time 100% favorite. It's huge, but not too bulky, could be worn as a shawl, wrap skirt, scarf, or just hanging like the model. I'm tall and I love that I can wrap it around my neck and the ends still hang down to my hips. The colors are vibrant and beautiful, the pattern is gorgeous. It's a true show stopper. I also don't usually like to spend too much on scarves - usually around $15 is what I'll pay. But for $30 this is soooo worth it. I will be buying more from them for sure. Here's to fueling my scarf addiction.

I love all the Dana Xu scarves! The patterns are so pretty, and the scarves are so warm! Although these scarves are wool, they aren't a heavy, scratchy wool. The scarf is substantial, but the fabric is thinner than what you'd wear on a sub-zero, snowy day. I have several of these scarves, and I can tell you, don't pay attention to the description of the colors, just look at the pictures of the scarves. The descriptions can be off, but the photos are accurate portrayals of the scarves you will receive. The colors are true; what you see is what you'll get. Although these scarves are beautiful, they aren't for indoor wear, unless you want to wrap one over your shoulders in a chilly office building, etc. They're more for outdoor wear in cool to not-too-cold weather. I've even used mine as a blanket on long plane trips when the air conditioning is set too high or, occasionally, as a blanket on my bed. Now, I am only 5'0" and about 100 lbs., but depending on how you fold and tie these scarves, a very petite person can wear them and look nice. I do! And I doubt many women are smaller than I am. I like to wrap the scarf around my neck twice, then tie them in an elaborate knot. These scarves are thin enough to wear in mild-but-still-chilly Southern California winters, or back East, in much colder weather. (Remember, you'll be wearing them over a coat!) They are perfect for casual clothes, or clothes you'd wear to the office. They could be worn out to dinner, but I use my solid color pashminas if I need a scarf for more formal wear. Even though I already own several of these scarves, I certainly intend on buying a few more. I wear them with a black cape to synagogue services, and because the air-conditioning there is on even in winter, I sometimes use one as a wrap. These scarves make lovely gifts, not just because the scarves are lovely, but because they come packaged in a lovely, substantial plastic bag, with a very ornamental fastener. One word of caution: Because these scarves are wool, put a few cedar chips in the bag along with the scarf or hang them in a closet that you've moth-proofed. Once you have one, you'll no doubt become addicted as I now am! Good luck, and enjoy!

This shawl is lovely. It is a bit lighter in weight than expected, but it is so pretty and colorful and makes a wonderful wrap for me at work, where it's very chilly. The colors are brilliant and so pretty. This shawl goes with every top I have for work !!!! I will purchase another color for my friends' birthday ! Thank you, this is a lovely item. I am so impressed by the quality and care for which this beautiful scarf was delivered. The packaging was exquisite, making the presentation of the scarf feel so special and luxurious. The material is quite soft and thin which is nice since it’s a lot of material. It’s even more beautiful than the picture. I am thoroughly pleased.

These are high quality, wool blend, light weight, yet full, beautiful scarves. Not irritating to the skin. I ordered the brightly colored red, hot pink & black combo. It is very wide & long, making it versatile for many ways of wear, not to mention an opportunity to brush up on your scarf design capabilities! Or as a wrap on the plane or a night out. It also comes very nicely packaged & wrapped in paper with a sticker. I wouldn't hesitate in giving as a gift, however, this was a birthday gift to myself!

This is the second one of these I bought and I really love both of them. Be aware that on this particular pattern with multi-colored medallions, the field color is much more deep beige than in the picture. The background of the black and white border is bright white. The other jewel tones are really nice. I washed this in Woolite to remove a slight "factory" smell and it came out magnificent.Because it is lightweight wool, it dried quickly and looks gorgeous. It did give off a little dye color but there was no fading or bleeding. This is a very large scarf so be prepared.The packaging was really nice coming in a mesh pouch with a frog closure. It would make a beautiful gift and it is priced very right for the nice quality.

Absolutely beautiful and very classy. Colors are exactly as in the pictures. People who are commenting about it not being soft enough obviously have never had anything made of 100% wool in their life. Obviously its not a cashmere, neither does it say anywhere in the product description. This is great product at great price. Also its true to dimensions mentioned; its a shawl, not your normal scarf. A must buy.

Exquisitely packaged. They still be a Christmas gift for my grandmother and I don't want to disturb the beautiful tissue paper job that they did. They took the gold tassles and laid them on the top of the tissue paper. I haven't dared open it to see the quality of the shawl but if it is half as good as their presentation, I'm sure it will be a winner!

Really love this shawl/scarf! The huge size was just what I wanted and the colour and pattern were exactly as pictured. I will buy another, as pure soft wool, that's this fine and has a nice soft drape, at this price is a steal!

Without a doubt, this scarf is colourful and classy! I had to buy another one for my niece's 18th birthday. The scarf is perfect for every occasion! What I appreciate about it is that it came nicely wrapped in a gift bag....wow!

It was a gift for my daughter and she loves the vibrant colors . I have 5 of these myself and so I'm familiar with the quality . The prices are also fabulous . Because they are so large you can fold them in various ways and get 3 or 4 diffrrent looks out of them .
