Typically, the packaging of an item is irrelevant, but in this instance, the packaging affected its functionality.I even questioned whether it was indeed 50 sheets.The paper's function is not to absorb grease, but rather to keep water in or out, allowing moist foods to retain their moisture and crisp foods to retain their crispness. I cannot recall a time when it did not perform this function, but the packaging hindered its practicality.Also, why the advertisement describes the paper as brown when it is clearly white?

I got these to wrap sandwiches for summer outings. The waxy side provides a great barrier for any runny juices from your sandwich.
