It's massive. Seems like twice the size of a regular scoop. Works well. Handle color makes it east to find, but it's easy to find because it's huge!

I've splurged and bought several high quality kitchen tools recently and this is one of them. It's so much easier to scoop ice cream, even hard ice cream right out of the freezer. I'm not saying it's effortless, but it's much more doable than with your typical cheap ice cream scoop.

Probably works well with batter, cookie dough or serving soft foods, but don't buy it for ice cream! The scoop itself is robust, although I found it awkward to hold & use - really needs a place where you can put your thumb for better control. The scraper piece inside is very flimsy. It has just a little nub that fits into a hole in the scoop. With the first scoop of ice cream it came out of the hole & was bent into a paper clip.

Perfect size for scooping any type of batter into molds and Texas cupcake tins.
