Great Tool Made in the USA
I purchased this set way back in 2016 for auto restoration work and it's held up extremely well.It cuts very smoothly and quickly, easy to control the depth. I'd started out with the cheapo HF tool which worked but not well and caused me to cut thru the 2nd layer of sheet metal more often than not.I always use the cutters with Blair's lubricant wax about $5.The only thing I'd say is that for automotive work I've never needed some of the small and large sizes in this set. If I had a do-over I'd get the Blair set with three 3/8 cutters and save some money.Wonderful product, highly recommended and made in the USA.

Bores through thick metal with ease
I needed to remove a shock tower on a truck that had some hard to reach laps welds. This was on metal 3/16 in thick. First I drilled some 1/8 guide holes for the spring loaded center pin. Then I used the 3/8 roto broach bit and kept drilling one hole beside the other till the metal let loose from the weld. It's important to use a paste lubricant like Boelube to help preserve the sharpness of the bits. I'll tell you what these thing are really super sharp and work really well. The chips just fly out. The tool is advertised as a spot weld cutter but it can do much deeper metal especially if you lube it frequently. Highly recommended,

Great kit, and a bargain too!
I bought this kit for work (auto body) and it's held up fantastic. When the Mac and Snap On equivalents are double and triple the price for the same thing, why buy them? The bits won't last forever but do stay sharp for a decent amount of time. I just had my first one fail and I've been using them for 4 months now, whereas my co-workers that get their Mac/Matco/Snap-On bits replaced only to have them fail after only a few spotwelds. For the money I would buy the Blair kit again in a heartbeat.

Great tool, replaced your larger drill bits up to 3/4"
i have used this tool several times and absolutely love it. get rid of your old huge drill bits that take forever to drill a hole and pick this set up. Its a little on the pricy side but it cuts 1/4 steel like nothing, and much quicker than you could use a standard drill bit. I will update this review if i find that they dont hold their edge. But so far i am very happy with the product. The only thing i can say negative about it is that the cutter ends can be very difficult to get back off of the shank, i would much prefer to pay a little bit more and have a seperate shank for each one, then you use the same shank for the same cutter and you only have to take it off of the shank when the tool gets dull.

Missing peices
Ordered 2 of these kits but unfortunately, 1 of the kits were missing the center punch. Not sure how that gets by quality control because the package appeared to be unopened.

Great tool for a little more advanced user.
So far I really like this tool. I did however manage to break one of the broach bits and found out quickly the replacement pieces in sets of 3 are a bit pricey. The tool does cut really well though. I've been using it for putting holes in the frame of a WW2 truck during a restoration / repowering project and its been great. It is like a mini- holesaw so it removes much less material than a standard twist drill. I use cutting oil (Tap-Magic) which is easily found in some hardware stores or everywhere online, even Amazon and the bits are all sharp as new. The way I broke the bit was trying to seat the cutter into a hole that I had already started and I was at an angle rather than square so it snagged and my Milwaukee Mag Hole Shooter is a heavy duty drill and it won over the broach bit. It was my fault and an impatient mistake. Effort used (pressure) for cutting is absolutly minimal compared to a twist drill as well. These also don't snag and its a pleasant sound when the pilot arbor kicks the slug out of the cutter bit.I do need to eventually drill through each side of the frame. A twist drill is easier for maintaining a square alignment from side to side but I really want to use these. I decided to use a drill bushing pressed into a plastic sheet as an alignment jig for a pilot bit and then used that to get my interior web holes started for the box tubing.I will buy more of these as I believe there is a larger dia kit. They are worth the money but again, you kinda need to have a little bit of experience with metal cutting to appreciate these vs a twist drill.

Great tool - MADE IN USA
I ordered this to cut the spot welds out of automotive bodywork. I was impressed when I first opened the box - not only was the tool made in the USA, it is made 30 minutes away from me in Flint Michigan.Complete kit, and incredible quality tool steel for the relatively cheap price - honestly, for what you get, the price is deceptively low. I was expecting "imported" quality, but all of my expectations were surpassed.Works great for what I've used it for, my only complaint is that it recommends using their lubricant stick for longevity. No other suggestion was made, so I use the same light oil I use for my drill press. So far, so good - but I'd like to pick up some of Blair's product as the solid for would be much more convenient.

Nice Quality Tool... for a change!
These are really nicely made, and perform equally well. I have been using them to cut Spot Welds for automotive restoration work, and they work great. I have been using the Blair Lube Stick with these too, which works out very well; just load up the bit and go. My only complaint would be disassembly... The tool bits screw onto the tool holder nice and easy with a washer behind them, but once you start drilling, the bits get locked on there pretty good, requiring some effort to remove them again. The tool holder has flats, so that's no problem, you can hold it, but the body of the tool bits themselves are hard, round, and smooth, so gripping them, and removing them, without marring the tool bit, takes considerable effort and a good strong grip. A couple of flats machined onto the body of these bits, that would accept a small wrench, would make life much easier.
