This product includes battery + USB charging cable.

Looking for basically this item with this connection but with three AA batteries intead of five. Any advice?

Look for a 3.2 v battery pack. If you want 6v but only 3 batteries you are looking at 2v per battery and I don’t think they make them. You might try some of the websites that sell only batteries.

Charging cord 1 amp only!!

Warning: Do not plug the charging cord in a newer wart of more than 1 amp. It will be damaged and useless. At least there should be a warning in the unit !!!!
