Nice quality for price.
I like the quality of these brushes for the price. They do hold a lot of water, and great for washes at this point. I have not been able to spend the time practicing with them to be honest. Bought them before hurricane hit, spent a year in rebuilding. Getting back to normal.

Lovely set, my watercolor teacher Jason Li suggested these for his class supplies. I like them very well, great for the price. Versatile styles and a good buy over all.

Poor quality Brushes
Didn't liked these brushes. It seems poor quality and the hairs fall appart every time I paint...

Everything You Need to Get Started Except Ink and Paper
Do you need the fancy Qing Dynasty inkwell with jade engravings?! No, use a red plastic cup. This set is fine for getting started and learning the different brush types, and even after the brushes have been abused to the point of no return, the bamboo roll-up mat can still be used for other brushes/as a mat to protect your writing surfaces. Even so, the brushes are not that bad, although anyone used to more expensive kits will notice the difference. I use this as a travel kit, so the brushes don't get worn out too much since they're not used too often. I think it's perfect as a gift for someone who is serious about calligraphy but may also travel, or for a beginner or something.

Work well, variety of sizes is nice
I got these to decorate our door with calligraphy for the Chinese New Year. A friend who is good at calligraphy used them to make some door hangings and they came out great. Brushes washed nicely, so looking forward to many more uses. I wasnโt sure what size brush we would need so I appreciated the variety in this pack. It included the perfect size to make our decorations.

Bristles ?
Cute packaging and brushes are fun sizes. Iโve only used 2 of the brushes but spent so much time removing the bristles from my painting. The bristles kept coming out of both brushes.

very good value
these are surprisingly good for the money. the hairs are springy and dont shed too easily, making proper writing and painting with these a ease. and its just so cheap.
