Great system, AI detection, rich notifications are a blessing
Definitely satisfied with Eufy as a whole. The wide range of home security products (cameras and door sensors specifically) has served my purposes well and being able to tie these items together and have them in one app is awesome. The AI detection is clearly still learning and sometimes identifies non-human objects as humans. Eufy definitely cares about improving this though, and listens to their customers by asking for input and feedback on different things to help improve their products and user experience. The only thing software-wise that's missing is the ability to block out an area from detecting motion while still recording the area. Currently, the only way to do this is to actually black out a square as a 'privacy area's (intended to avoid impinging on neighbors' privacy rights). There were a few nuisance 'human detection' areas like my AC unit that have a black square over them to remove the nuisance notifications. Not a huge deal, but something to note. I have the cameras mounted to the soffit, and the cords running tucked into the vinyl siding and going in through windows to plug in on inside electrical outlets. The cords themselves are long enough to do so, provided you place them within a reasonable vicinity of a window. The cords are flexible enough to still be able to lock the windows, which is important for me. I don't really open and close the windows, so I'm not sure how doing so would effect the cords being repeatedly pinched in a window, but doing so once in a while has presented no issues. Eventually I'll add electrical outlets recessed into the soffit, but the current setup works well enough. The rich notifications (which include a still image of the detected vehicle/human motion) is great so I don't have to constantly open the app to see who it is. The viewing angle is awesome, I'm in a mobile home park, and due to the close quarters I have the cameras practically pointed at the ground to not give the idea of 'spying' on the neighbors. Despite being pointed almost directly down, it still captures a wide enough angle to cover the full area I need to for my lot. It almost looks impossible for it to capture anything useful based on the downward angle, but it works well. The Homebase is a great local storage option, and takes up next to no space - especially when compared to old traditional NVR-based systems like my older Reolink system at another property. Night vision also works well, and the AI detection still works great at night. Overall, it's the best system I've used. I'll be buying Eufy for my home security needs again in the future as needed.

Top of the line with one drawback. (Updated to 1 star)
UPDATE: 04/02/2025--So after 1 year of use I have to say this the cameras go down frequently and sometimes you will just go into the app and it will say "camera is offline" No idea why I checked my router everything is fine and everything else is maintaining connection fine. Just talked to the Eufy rep after waiting 1 hour on the phone he told my I would have to physically get the camera down and delete it and reconnect it.....Not a good solution that is a horrible way to work your camera system. Because now that means I have to bring the camera and the wire down to be able to plug it in close to the Homebase since you need the Homebase to reconnect the camera. Eufy did nothing to support me in this he just said "we cant do nothing else you have to bring the camera down sorry wish there was more I can do for you" ugh really annoying the reason he gave me that if the eufy camera loses connection it will try to connect 1 time and if it fails after 1 time then its perm offline until you bring it down.... That is a horrible move and a bad way to run a camera system. I will be looking for another product to invest in. Ok I’m a huge Eufy fan, but don’t worry it won’t make me biased in this. The camera quality is great and the recording quality in the app is good. If you are going to spend your hard earned money read this first. It seems like previous reviews here seem to name the homebase as the culprit, my brother in law and I bought this system a few days apart just to find out that his homebase failed and they had to ship him a new one it took about a week and a half which is way too long considering this is security. The home base would turn on and off randomly which would not let him connect he called and they had to send a new one. The homebase itself is the brains of the entire thing meaning if the homebase fails all of your security cameras are down which means you’re out of luck until they send you a new one. That is the one big drawback about the system and once you get your new homebase, you need to bring every camera down and bring it close to the homebase again as an initial set up. I don’t understand why Eufy would make this so hard because it takes a while to set up the cameras. It’s ridiculous to bring them back down just to connect them to the new homebase if your previous homebase failed The Eufy app is good. I wish they would make squares of four to be able to fit the cameras without scrolling too much because I have quite a few cameras. It takes forever to scroll through them. The homebase does add AI to the system to understand faces of your family and friends. It also picks up vehicles a lot faster. There is a pet option but I don’t have it turned on but so far tracking people and vehicles has been great! Plug homebase near router so that you can have an ethernet connection for set up. After you set up all 4 cameras you can unplug the homebase to a more central location so that all your cameras can have good connectivity. Another incredible thing is that it picks up people through different cameras meaning if I go to the front yard and then pass the doorbell it will string these two videos together for you in a report so you can see where they went throughout your house instead of switching cameras Install was easy for me since I don’t have to go up high for my cameras. You just plug them into a normal outlet and find your way outside. Please plug all cameras in before you install since they need to be set up by homebase you cannot set up remotely. Home base has to be really close. INSTALL ALL UPDATES AND CAMERAS BEFORE GOING OUTSIDE TO SET UP. So plug in near homebase set up in eufy app and then unplug and plug in the next camera set up and keep going till all 4 cameras are set up. Once they are all set up you can unplug them and plug them into an outlet closer to the location you want to set the camera up. Other than that everything is else working fine and my homebase is going strong so hopefully this holds up and this system lasts me a long time. Please like this review if it helped you.

Great low cost home security system
Outstanding customer support. Setup/configure is reasonably straight forward. Nice high res cameras work well in both lit and non-lit environments. Getting the right camera angle can be challenging, but with some patience and enough fiddling, just about any angle is possible (easier with two people: one fiddling with camera base and another monitoring the phone app). The s380 home base failed on me. The symptom was "no power". I bought a replacement power supply, plugged it in, and home based powered up - for like half-minute (went from blue status LED to flashing red led, then nothing). I contacted eufy support. They went through the standard 'check this and that', but ultimately sent me a new s380 home base (very pleased with eufy support on that aspect.) I got curious about where the failure occured, so I tested the hardrive with some PC diagnostic/recovery data cables. The drive was completely unresponsive. Realize that eufy uses a proprietary Linux based file system, so I didn't expect to be able to read 'data' from the drive. However, my point here is that the data cable wouldn't even acknowledge that a device was present - the drive was completely non-responsive. Hind sight/takeaway - if you home base fails with blown power supply - check that the hard drive is still working BEFORE swapping in a new power supply

Save yourself a lot of hassle - fixed it
***Edit ***. The issue ended up being my Wifi that now has a known bug with cameras. Avoid TP-Link deco as once I switched routers everything works perfectly I bought the 4 camera kits to replace my aging Nest Camera system. In addition i bought 4 additional add on cameras, 4 wall lights, and a doorbell. To start if you plan on recording continuously you can only have 4 wired cameras per homebase. I bought another homebase to support the add on cameras but then still did not have enough capacity as the 8 wired cameras used all the available slots on the 2 homebases plus keep in mind the homebase3 add-ons do not include a hard drive so that is yet another purchase. From the moment i plugged in the first homebase and configured everything in my home network went to hell. I am using the top of the line TP-Link Deco BE85 for my router with Fios 5GB service which has had no issues with the previous Nest Cameras. In order for the wired Pro cameras to function properly you have to configure multicast on your router (sounds easy enough) but there is something that happens with the communication of the homebases that basically breaks everything else in the network. There is zero documentation on how this is done and support is a joke. They could not even answer the maximum number of wired cameras supported per homebase but i found the information on the parent company Anker's support site. After rebooting the entire house about 50 times the cameras were sort of stable for about an hour but then the main router went offline again (it was not a Fios issues) and absolutely nothing would work network wise in my home unless i unplugged and powered off the homebase. I spent over 12 hours trying to figure out any possible working configuration as I really wanted these cameras to work. My home configuration is not overly complex. WAN is 5GB Fios >> TP-Link Deco BE85 >> 4 Satellite BE85 >> 50 Port Cisco Switch connected to Primary Deco. Once I powered off the homebases the Wall Light Security Cameras work flawlessly operating on their own so I am confident the issues with the product is with that component.

These have been great so far
7 month update!!! I had one of my cameras die. It just shut off and stopped recording at like 1:30am. I got in touch with Eufy and outside of asking for my order number didn't ask any questions. They just shipped me a new camera and asked me to ship the other one back. So far everything else has been great. ________________________ For the most part, these are great. Easy to set up. Just make sure you do that before you mount them. They stay connected and I've even had two power outages since installing them. They connected right back up afterward, no issues there. They do only have 15fps which kind of stinks but at the same time, you're not recording a football game so it's not really needed. The quality is great. Even at night for the most part everything is good. The IR night vision works well, not super impressed with the color night vision. That said I do use it out front as I have the porch light on and a street light. I don't actually use the color night vision. I just turned night vision off which leaves the picture in full color The only real gripe that I have (other than 15fps) is that the home base can't connect to a network with a space in the password. That might sound stupid but I'm not changing every device on my network for this one. Spaces in passwords are very valid characters and to make it even worse, the cameras do connect, it's just the base station. The app refuses to allow you to enter a space. That's been complained about on their forum many times over several years now and they've done nothing.

Poor reliability for connectivity
Update 2: the camera that has already been replaced is failing again. I suspect because it sits in the sun most of the day and the camera is not engineered for direct sun exposure for a full day. I confirmed with the manufacturer and others reviews that it should be, but experience says otherwise. Additionally, the Homebase has been a disappointment. The effective range is far more limited than advertised, and having any more than two devices connected is not possible. I have had to reduce range to 15 feet or less and limit to just two connected devices. Only then can I get reliable performance. Original: I spent quite a bit of time researching cameras to replace my Wyze cameras, which started failing recently and were never really as functional as I would have liked. The big limiting factor in my setup seems to be sun exposure and connectivity. I first purchased a Eufy door lock and was pleased with how it functioned, so I decided to give their cameras a shot. I settled on this one because I planned to have the cameras wired, and the reviews indicated that these were very reliable cameras. Initially, they performed great, uploading footage and notifications to the Homebase immediately and connecting to the live view very quickly and reliably. But lately one of the cameras seems to have developed issues where it fails to send notifications and drops connection to the Homebase intermittently. I can't help but think that the sun is getting to it. It sits in full sun almost the entire day and is obviously going to get quite hot (hence another reason why I did not want a battery powered camera). I researched this thoroughly on Amazon and even got reassurance from Eufy that the cameras are designed for full sun exposure. However, I'm having my doubts. I'm going to warranty the camera and hopefully the next one performs better. I do not want to have to deal with this on an ongoing basis. Update: Eufy replaced one of the cameras that was suffering from what I'm guessing was overheating. It's not really clear. The new camera has a solar panel on it. It's been cooler out, so we'll have to wait until the summer to see how it performs in Florida heat. The solar panel has been unable to keep it fully charged, so I will have to convert it to the wired connection so it will stay charged. My biggest complaint is that trying to view live footage on any of the cameras is hit or miss. Sometimes it connects quickly, sometimes it connects after 10-15 seconds, sometimes it doesn't connect at all. It's really frustrating and I have no idea how to solve it. The cameras are well within the range of the Homebases (I have two of them set up), I have very strong WiFi, and I have gigabit fiber internet. I cannot identify any bottlenecks that might disrupt connectivity. Additionally, the cameras do miss activity at times. I will get notifications on one camera, but another camera that captures the same subject won't have any notifications. Overall, reliability for this product is hit or miss. It's not so bad that I am going to switch to another product, yet. But I'm considering it.

It's good, gotta read the instructions
Edit: So originally I bought it and thought you couldn't pan it left to right but after exploring in the app I have found that you can buy the installation instructions didn't include it, just the FAQs about connectivity and panning. So it works as intended so far and is pretty easy to mount and setup. Be sure to pair all the cameras first by putting them near the base station as it uses some weird sound beeping thing to help pair the camera (it's super high frequency and loud and annoying but I feel like some people wouldn't be able to hear it). So, I bought the 4 camera set to upgrade from the battery powered cameras to get 24/7 footage. I go to install and get up on a ladder with power running to this thing and come to find I cant point it left or right only up and down without turning the whole camera sideways... Maybe I'm stupid but I couldn't figure out a way to get the camera upright and also turning side to side so I could point it out of a corner.. Oh well I actually only needed two cameras anyways and bought the extras so I just put up the extras to cover the blind spots.

Ok. I’m no longer impressed
A proper review of this system would be quite lengthy and necessarily detailed. This is not that. Call it a brief overview. My Goal was to get high definition 24/7 surveillance and recording with notifications and at least 30 days local storage on 6 cameras. I purchased the E330 4-camera kit (plug-in) with Homebase 3 along with two additional E330 cameras and a 4TB SSD hard drive to replace the included 1TB drive. Setup was problem free, activating/pairing and installing cameras was straight forward, replacing drive and formatting new drive was easy, and everything worked. I was shocked to see such high quality video. The features and abilities included in the system are outstanding. I’ve been able to do any task I’ve wanted to do and other tasks I didn’t even know I wanted to do, albeit a bit frustrating figuring it out. The Beta AI is also fun to play with. I will say that you’ll be spending quite a bit of time learning the app. Perfection is elusive, but I will say that most the features work pretty well after you figure out how to setup and implement them. I am able to store 67 days of HD video from all 6 cameras (24/7 recording) - and it’s stored locally and easy to access. No paying for cloud storage or the other access issues, and the system self deletes oldest days as the drive fills up. The cameras themselves are physically larger than the ones on my last system(s). They also have a blue light in the lens that is clearly visible from a distance at night. I’m not sure if this is good (deterrent) or bad (invite to destroy-steal) but I don’t anticipate any problems where mine are mounted. Overall, I think this system is an exceptional value for the money! I hope this system proves to be as reliable as my old ones were. Of course, I’ll edit this post if anything goes south, but for now, this system is a solid 5 based on both value and function (notwithstanding the elusiveness of perfection), and I would definitely buy again. Edit: The HomeBase3 started howling. It sounded like a loud fan noise or wire rubbing. Support (the first time I’ve ever contacted them) quickly sent a replacement. Swapping it out went easy/well and it kept all my history since I moved the 4TB drive to the replacement unit. The HB3 never did stop working even while making noises. Anyway, I’m not deducting stars because poo poo actually does happen and how a seller deals with it really matters. Im good, and I still like the system. I’ll update this review again if the reliability and/or passive operation fail again, and then my review may need a new title. But for now, I’m still impressed and would buy again. Update: 10/9/25 After a little over one year in use, I’ve changed from 5 stars to 1 star. I actually need (by definition) a reliable security system. Perhaps they are trying to do too much? After an update, you are best advised to check and see what they mean by “Fix the existing BUG and improve system stability”. The reality is - they may be introducing bugs and reducing stability. The latest concerning update, blamed on “New York Daylight Saving time” (I’m in the pacific NW), made my system basically useless. You cannot view any events, and must wait over an hour to even see anything in playback - and even then, you cannot identify events in the timeline. Of course support suggests restarting system, moving cameras closer to HB, change networks, delete and re-add devices, get a different ISP, and other suggestions that are clearly unrelated to the software issue introduced thru their update. They always take the position that it’s your problem, not theirs. Unacceptable mess. And yes they fixed it eventually, but how long must I go without a system and when is the next time they do this? The system must work when you need it. This is far too unreliable. If the system worked as advertised, it would be an absolutely great system! However I’m very tired of trying to manage a system that should be reliable and passive (like the software on my rooftop solar). Sadly I’m looking for a new system. I wish I could find one designed like this that actually works reliably.

Good product
The cameras are great however one of the cameras stopped working after 9 months of use. The customer service is great they helped me troubleshooting it but when nothing worked they sent me the replacement in no time. I hope it stays in working condition after the warranty expires.

Not worth if you want 24/7 recording
The home base that comes with it is faulty.it is unable to record 24/7 after it’s hard drive I’d fullunable to add new hard drive because whatever you do homebase unable to recognize hard drive .eufy sent me replacement of home base but it’s stopped working after 4 weeks .now it’s not recording 24/7.i tried new hard drive but it’s not recognizing it.Its big flaw in homebase3.now I have 2 homebase3’s but unable to record 24/7.it’s useless system if you need 24/7 recordings.
