Hoover PowerDash Pet+ Compact Carpet Cleaner Machine, Lightweight Carpet Shampooer Machine, Pair with a Hoover Carpet Cleaner Solution for a Bright, Refreshed Home

I have mostly hardwood in my house, but a few area rugs and one carpeted room that see a lot of foot (and paw) traffic. Rather than renting those giant carpet cleaners, I decided to try this Hoover PowerDash Pet+ for convenience. It’s compact and lightweight – I’d say it’s about the size of a small vacuum cleaner, and I can carry it upstairs with one hand no problem. Don’t let the small size fool you though, this thing packs a punch on stains. Assembly out of the box took literally two minutes (just slide the handle on). I filled the clean water tank with the included cleaning solution (nice that they give you a starter bottle) and warm water, and went to town on an old pet stain that had been haunting my rug. In a couple of slow passes, the stain was visibly lifting. By the third pass, it was completely gone. I was actually kind of shocked – I didn’t expect professional-level results, but the carpet looked good as new (and the dirty water I dumped out was a murky gray, eww!). Using the PowerDash is straightforward and user-friendly. It’s basically like using an upright vacuum: you press a pedal to release the handle, another to turn it on, and there’s a trigger in the handle that sprays the cleaning solution as you push it forward. I do a forward pass with spray, then pull back slowly without spraying to suck up the dirty water. It’s satisfying to see the nozzle slurp up the mess. And despite the “Pet” branding, this machine isn’t just for pet accidents – it’s equally great for spilled drinks, general grime, and refreshing high-traffic areas. I’ve since used it on a hallway runner and the amount of dirt it pulled was simultaneously disgusting and gratifying. A few more notes: the PowerDash has a very compact design, which means the clean and dirty water tanks are smaller than full-size cleaners. I did have to refill and empty a couple of times for a larger 12x12 rug. But honestly, I don’t mind because the smaller size makes it easy to store in my closet and easy to maneuver around. It also has a removable nozzle piece up front, which you can rinse out and clear of hair/debris after you’re done – that’s a big plus for maintenance. The carpets come out just slightly damp and typically dry within a few hours (I usually run a fan or keep windows open). Noise-wise, it’s about as loud as a regular vacuum – not quiet, but not jackhammer level either. Given its size, I was impressed that it has a decent brush roll that really agitates the carpet fibers, and strong suction to pull the water back out. The result is a clean carpet that’s not soaked. My living room rug actually fluffed up after cleaning, looking refreshed. For deep-set old stains you might need a pretreatment, but so far I haven’t met a fresh stain this cleaner couldn’t handle. Overall, the Hoover PowerDash Pet+ is now my go-to gadget for keeping rugs and carpets tidy. It’s ideal for small spaces, quick cleanups, and periodic freshening of your carpets. If you have pets, kids, or a clumsy coffee habit (I tick two of those boxes), you’ll love the convenience. No more renting bulky machines or paying professionals for every little spill – this little powerhouse has me covered. It’s honestly one of those home appliances that I didn’t know I needed, but now I wonder how I lived without it. Two thumbs up!

This is by far the best carpet cleaner I have ever owned. Over the years I have owned large and small carpet cleaners, but this one is perfect! It is lightweight, but does the job of a bigger machine. Easy to move around, holds enough water to easily do a good size room and no leaks or soap bubble floating around. Finally someone made a machine that is easy to clean!! The dirty water container is easy to remove with no spillage, and can be cleaned easily to get any pieces of dirt/hair out of it. The cover over the brushes is removable for cleaning, as well as the brushes. No longer having dirt stick inside, you can reach and clean everything! My carpets look so beautiful, soft and smell great! I highly recommend this carpet cleaner!

This is really a great carpet cleaner! I just did spring cleaning on all the carpet and rugs in my home and I couldn’t be more impressed with how well this Cleaner works! I’ve uploaded a video to show exactly how much filth this thing collects. It isn’t any louder than a normal vacuum cleaner. It really sucks and scrubs out all dirt! My carpet was a little damp afterwards however it dried pretty quickly. I probably filled the clean water tank up 4 times but that was for a total of 3 bedrooms, a hallway, and a dining room rug. I emptied the dirty tank 3 times. So both tank sizes are pretty appropriate. It’s a nice compact size making it easy to store just about anywhere. Seems to be pretty well made also. Extremely durable considering I’ve hauled up and down steps repeatedly during use. It’s a very nice looking well made machine and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

This little guy works pretty well. It’s not the most amazing one you’ll find but for an average household, it’s great. Putting it together was easy and starting it each time is easy too. It’s simple to use and leaves the carpet drier than handheld ones I’ve used. It’s also pretty powerful for something so small and lightweight — it gets up dog urine stains for me. Some cons are: pet hair will get into the hard to clean spots if there’s a lot of it, even if you vacuum first. It’s small, so if you’re doing a whole room, you’ll have to fill it more than once.

This carpet cleaner is super lightweight and cleans really well. What I love most is how thoroughly you can rinse it out afterward, so it actually looks clean when you’re done using it. Very pleased with my purchase!

I didn’t give a review right away cause I wanted to see how this little guy done (cause how do you REALLY know after one use) I’ve had it now for a couple months and UNLESS you want your carpet like brand new don’t buy this. I LOVE it! Sure I may have to refill every room once or twice and have to empty the dirty water often. But this thing is GREAT! I love that it’s small and compact and as cute as all get out. I have a FULL size shampooer. You know one of those big ole shampooers that you feel like you’ve had a good workout a day at the gym? Well this one is light as can be. I’m not a very big person at all and I have no problems with this. Getting back to my BIG shampooer. I THOUGHT my carpet was clean after using it. WRONG!!!! This little guy will pick up everything you THOUGHT you got. Oh do beware IT WILL pick up the OLD lent and crud in your carpet. I really thought my carpet was falling apart. No it was picking up stuff I didn’t even know was in my carpet even after using my rainbow vacuum cleaner. I’ve never been a huge fan of Hoover that’s why I waited so long to buy this. I wish I would have bought this sooner. I have noticed our allergies have gotten better too. The suction power this thing has is amazing and it gets stains up like you wouldn’t believe. It does come with a little sample packet of pet stain remover. It was good but personally I use my Lysol or Mr Clean. Plus makes your house smell good too So…if you have pets, dirty nasty carpets, need for a quick pickup for a spill (cause you have kids or gran kids), have allergies (like I do) and want something that REALLY SUCKS. Go get yourself one you won’t regret it. Trust me if I think something is bad I’ll tell you cause, I hate wasting money on crap. Oh and this is easy to clean too.

I just got this today. I love it. I bought it because the belt on my Bissell Pro Heat broke and it's a pain in the a** to change. The first time I changed it the screws which are ridiculously small stripped ( most of them). So I had to drill them out. I ordered this and belts for my broken Bissell because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, repair it or use the new Hoover, when they came this morning I wasn't in the mood to struggle with putting my Bissell back together, plus I had to pry off the belt cover so I wasn't sure what I would do about that. I decided on opening it up the Hoover and boy I am impressed. My carpet is soooo much clearer than it ever has been after shampooing with my Bissell. Also the clean water tank on the Bissell has a huge problem, it leaks!!! This has happened multiple times. I put the tank on and if I'm not actively running the machine sucking up the solution it drains out all over my floor leaving a huge soaking wet spot! That's what happened to me yesterday... Again. I guess this review is more for the people struggling between the two machines. If that's you then get this one. You can access the roller brush and belt so easily. Also they use real screws that don't strip. Not that to our need to to get to the brush. It was a breeze to cleanvthe shampooer after using it. Like I said it cleaned my carpet so much better, it's lighter, and way cheaper. I'm so happy I can throw out my other one. I will use this one more often too, which means my carpet will stay clean.

With five kids ages nine to four, you can only imagine the kinds of messes we deal with—especially when sickness hits. This carpet cleaner has honestly given me peace of mind. It’s been a solid, reliable cleaner in our home. It does a great job picking up dirt, and I like the fresh smell it leaves behind. For the price, I feel like it performs really well. The only small issue I experienced was a bit of water spilling from underneath after I finished using it, but it wasn’t anything major. I just make sure to remove the reservoir and not leave it sitting inside the unit upside down, and to finish vacuuming out any remaining water. Overall, I’m really happy with it and would recommend it—especially for busy households like mine. as far as putting the machine together, it’s pretty simple, I do believe for my kids bedroom. I was able to use one full tank in the whole bedroom, but if you’re doing multiple rooms area arrives, you definitely have to refill the water tank multiple times.

Pour de grandes surfaces il va falloir remplir le bac d'eau à quelques reprises, mais ce n'est rien de compliqué. Je recommande grandement ce nettoyeur de tapis.

I highly recommend this rug cleaner. Easy to use. Light weight. And even removed old stubborn carpet stains. I wish I had taken before and after pictures. This is the best carpet cleaner I have ever owned.

With two dogs and the occasional spill or accident this is the perfect compact carpet cleaner. Easy to use and does a great job. Wish it had a bigger resevoir for cleaning solution and dirty water but then it wouldn't be so lightweight and convenient to use.
