I use it and it works great, make sure to buy the filters regularly and you'll have a great filter system. I also use a prefilter (like an rv one) for extra filtering.

I've had a pressure washer hooked up in my garage for years. When I go to wash vehicles it's always ready, just hit the button and blast. And then when I got introduced to using a deionized rinse I saw life getting even easier by eliminating the most "work intensive" step...the drying! I wanted something just as simple but also effective, something I can get several uses from before having to recharge, not take up a lot of space and something that I could recharge using bulk resin because I hate the idea of buying throw away canisters and paying 4 or 5 times as much for the material which is already expensive. Also, I wanted it to be easy to see how my resin is holding up. This unit accomplishes all of that. I can recharge the existing canisters keeping costs down, one glance and I can see how resin is holding up and the whole thing mounts on the wall and takes up minimal space. And all that for under a hundred bucks (and about $25 in PVC)! So far I've washed my truck about 3 times and my car twice and used maybe 3/4" of resin. I don't know how my water rates for contaminates (I'm on town water) but I can say it looks like I'm going to at least get the entire season out of this before having to refill the canisters. And it does work just like they say, after washing and rinsing a vehicle I just give it one last rinse with the DI water and walk away. It actually dries more spotless than using a chammy which still can leave streaks. One cloudy day (about all we get here in upstate NY lately!) my truck sat in the garage and took over a day to finally dry, yet, not one single water spot! Update: It's been a year now and I can report, as I was hoping, the canisters did - albeit barely - last the entire season! My bag of resin came in last week, I'm about to refill them for this season. Looks like I'll get several refills (seasons) out of this $60 bag. For what I have invested this has been a most worthwhile acquisition, love the way this works!

Washing the car. It definitely works. Rinsed the car, left it to dry, no water spots.

Bought this for work as it seems our water suddenly has been leaving a lot of residue on our vehicles. Got this set it up and first time I used it I noticed an amazing difference! No more water stains any left over water marks are easily wiped away all in all a great purchase and I’m very happy with it!

I think some of the bad reviews on here are just from people who don’t understand the science behind how these work. This is meant to take total dissolved solids out of water by using chemicals in this resin to bind to and then break these solids up. It’s a chemical change and at a certain point (which the company even states is around 2000 TDS), yes, it will be depleted. The chemical runs out. That’s the limitation in how this resin works...it’s not really a function of how “good” this company’s product is. If you have water in the 200s which is ridiculously hard and you’re trying to process 30-40 gallons with this every time to do a car wash then I’d assume it would go fast. Like another reviewer said, it would probably be best for people with really hard water to first use an RO system with a tank to remove TDS first and then use this as the final polisher to bring it to 0. I’m fortunate to live in New York (where TDS is about 45) and so this works great. I don’t use it to wash my car but rather use it to fill a humidifier with demineralized water (too prevent scale ) and also for a fish tank to remove carbonates. It works great for both. Installation was easy, no leaks (if you remember to use the included plumbers tape) and has a high flow rate so that filling things don’t take forever. Measure the water every time and it always comes out 0 TDS every time. Straight from the tap. I’m not even prefiltering it. I’ve been using it for a week and the resin is still ocean blue so I think this will work. Love it
