It will make any amount of meat into a round patty and is high quality S.S. Very happy with it.

The burger press I should have bought first
I got a plastic burger press (that has an insert for stuffed burgers) a few years ago and was frustrated with the difficulty in using and cleaning it. It was also a little small, about 3-3/4-inches diameter.This press makes a full 4-1/2 inch burger that can be from 1/4-inch thick to about 3 full inches. This press is a breeze to use and disassembles easily for the dishwasher. I take a ball of ground meat (weighed out) sandwiched in patty paper, apply the plunger on the press and get a well formed burger. I have used it to make layered burgers too (search for "Dad's Burger"). Very fast and the correct size and shape. This burger press is the one I should have gotten first.

This press is much sturdier than others I've had in the past. The reason for only 4 stars is because the top plate bent some, but it is still functioning.
