Yes it really works!
We make a dozen hard boiled eggs a week for my lunch and this was a game changer when it comes to peeling them! Works great and as far as I'm concerned it's worth WAY more with the time savings and lack of frustration!

Makes a tiny hole in egg. You can see bubbles escape the egg as you boil. It works.

Convenient & easy to use
It's a handy little tool for it's purpose. I only gave it a 4 star because the hole it makes it isn't as large as I'd like it to be. $10 dollars is a wee bit high, but if it stays on sale for $5, grab it.

Fails after a small number of uses
Worked for the first 6 eggs, then it started breaking eggs instead. As soon as a little liquid from the egg drops down into the interior, it gums up the works. The point dulled down also. I went back to using a map pin.

Perfect boiled eggs.
I discovered this after years of having ugly boiled eggs. With this small gadget they come out of the shell perfect every time. I love it.

It works fine. Only thing I didnt care for is it's smaller and flimsier than I'd hoped for. Would prefer a bit larger and sturdier material.
