This Pex Crimping Clamp Cinch Tool and Pipe Hose Cutter, Pipe Fitting Crimper Tool Kit, was received quickly and in good condition. My first-time crimps of two 3/8" Pex and 1/2" Pex fittings were all successful, with no leaks. It was necessary to calibrate the tool immediately using the go-no-go guage, but after grinding a notch in the guage metal to use as a notched screwdriver, calibration succeeded.I was surprised that the crimping tool must be wide open to engage over a new clamp, with the tool arm handles being over a foot apart. I was even more surprised how much force was needed to squeeze the tool arms together until the ratchet mechanism engaged. My wife would be hard-pressed to squeeze the arms to this point, as was I. The greatest care is needed during this initial crimp action to keep the clamp positioned 1/8" to 1/4" from the fitting shoulder, as-designed. But I see no better tools available at a reasonable price that simplify this initial crimp action - as with a more extensive ratcheting, compound leverage tool. I've decided that's just how it is.

Both the crimper and the wire Cutters looked great right out of the box. I wiped off the factory oil and wiped on some new made in America. While cleaning and oiling I noticed that the factory finish of the metal was very very nice, I hadn't expected that. Nice work. I of course started out with the 1/0 cable, decided to see what it could do on the top end. The wire cutters were very difficult to get through the cable but we got there. The crimp was very impressive! I used whatever that really good brand is they sell here for lugs and got a crimp that I'll never have to worry about. The folks in the videos on YouTube were right, this thing isn't all right tool and should last long enough to pay itself off five times over. Almost feel like I got one over on the man.

I had the PEX rings, these stainless are amazing and much easier to use in a confined space since it does not require the width that regular rings require. Love the no-go feature and easy to adjust (unlike old PEX crimpers for any size. Nice that it's in it's own zip carry bag. And lightweight compared to original PEX tool!

The pex cutting tool works well, very sharp and cuts easily. The crimper is good but remember that the handles are quite short. Good for tight spots but require some force since the handles are short. A couple of pipes make easy extenders so it's easier to crimp in the not so tight spaces. Nice bag to keep everything together. Buy additional crimps as there are not that many with the kit.

This is a fine tool for occasional use. I had no trouble getting good crimps on 1/2 inch PEX tubing though it does take a bit of grip strength. The handle is short so there is not as much leverage as there would be in more pro-grade tools, but if you are only doing a few dozen connections a day it is not an issue. Build quality is good and the tool looks like it will hold up well. The cutter is sharp and zips right through 1/2 inch PEX.

Received the set in a couple of days from ordering it. Both tools work very well with all the cable cutting and crimping I've been doing to the motorhome. My only issue was when the zipper on the carry case failed to open properly and it broke the second time I went to use it. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with both tools.

Had my doubts about these cutter's but cut 3/4 PVC like nothing. Worked excellent

Had to replace and outside water valve. Quick and easy, wish I had this sooner
