It Does the Job
I bought this based on info given in a video showing how well it played Sega Genesis games. It took awhile to get my tv to recognize my system, but it eventually worked. It does the job, but for my PTO cartridge it did nothing to enhance the video. It's not the device's fault. My regret is I could have used a cheaper means to achieve the same end. I can't speak to whether other more colorful games are enhanced or not.

Took a minute but works after all
This worked on my gen 1 Sega Genesis. It took the device a minute to process and work but now it works instantaneously and every time. Very impressed and the screen resolution switch is very nice with today's tvs.

Does not work with Sega Genesis Model 1 - Disappointing
It does not work with Sega Genesis Model 1. Attached pictures. First picture is with this BITFUNX upscaler, the second picture is using a generic AV to HDMI. The BITFUNX does start to get warm after a while. I have switched to different power blocks with the same issues. My Genesis also works fine connected to the TV's AV ports so I know it is the BITFUNX not performing as described. This is the second unit.I returned the first unit for the same reasons.

Not as good as higher priced units, as is expected.
I'm no expert, but I have a first gen Sega Genesis I have some beloved game cartridges on that I love to play now and then. Composite video looks pretty awful on a modern LCD. While a truly good upscaler is pretty expensive, this one is not. I did still have some complaints about the color, but my brother said I could fix that on my TV settings. Honestly, I think a lot of what you might find below expectation on this upscaler may be improved with messing around with this for a while. I'm experimenting and giving it time before casting my final vote for or against.

Not great, but ok
I have the HD Retrovision cables and you can see the difference in color and clarity in the screen shots. Also in Sonic 2 the 2 player mode didn't display correctly with the Bitfunx. The RAD2x and HD Retrovision are what I consider the best options but they are often sold out making them hard to buy.Pros:It's better than the standard composite cableCons:Needs external power and isn't as good as other options in the market. Some things like Sonic 2 2 player mode don't display properlyNoticed some graphical issues with Rocket Knight as well as some issues with the sound.

Just ok quality
There is a lot of background noise with this upscaler. Overall the quality is only ok. Better than just RCA from the console, but again a lot of screen-noise

Functional, but color feels very off
This adapter is easy enough to use and it has minimal input latency, but honestly it just doesn't look very good. The sharpness is there but colors and saturation are all very weird. Compared to an old Retrotink on the same TV display, the colors are all weirdly oversaturated and cooler tinted. Not really a fan of this one.
