🚩Insufficient product labelling 🚩
Not sure about this product at all. It arrived safely, & on time, with no leaks during transit, so that side of things was really good. However, I’m always extremely suspicious of products like this that don’t arrive with adequate labelling. Unlike the pictures that other reviewers have posted, as you can see from the bottle I received, there is a lot missing from the label, namely the extraction method, origin of ingredients, & most importantly, the batch number & either a date of manufacture, or a suggested use by date.A product with no batch number is completely untraceable, & I suspect, also contravenes the laws on product labelling. There is no net weight labelled, no safety information, no storage or usage instructions, & no mention of the fact that it’s highly flammable. In fact, I believe bergamot essential oil is a class 3 flammable substance, so there are restrictions on how it can even be transported. The lack of all this vital information raised a massive red flag with me.All that being said, the scent of the oil was pleasing, soft & citrusy, however it was a lot more subtle & less potent than other bottles of bergamot I’ve had from different manufacturers, but I know enough about essential oils to take into account that a lot depends on the crop used to extract the oil, & the fragrance can vary from crop to crop, even from the same producer, so I’ve cut the seller a bit of slack here.I took a chance & used this oil (along with some lavender from a different brand) & added it to some cold process soap shampoo bars. Whilst I could still smell the citrus fragrance initially after making the soap, by the time I came to unmould it for curing (just 24 hours later) the scent had all but disappeared completely, & I could only detect the lavender, which was really disappointing.I don’t think I’m going to risk using this product in anything else that has contact with the body, I just don’t have enough information about it that I can trust, & this is why proper labelling is so important, it gives consumers confidence that a product is safe, & has been manufactured to a consistent & decent standard, & is completely traceable should anything go wrong.I’ll probably use the remainder of the oil in my humidifying diffuser, which is a shame, because that wasn’t what I purchased it for.

Therapeutic grade, press extracted Bergamot Essential Oil. One of the best Bergamot EOs I've used.
A lovely, therapeutic grade Bergamot Essential Oil, expressed from the peel. It's very lively, bright and citrusy, with floral notes of lemon. This is one of the nicest I've used. This doesn't have the phenolic undertones of some Bergamot oils, giving this one a much fresher, lighter and more floral oil. This Bergamot EO is a crystal clear, light oil, simply packaged in a brown bottle with white label giving batch number & BBD. I've uploaded some pics to illustrate the product and the drip dispenser. It's very potent. For bath use, 10 drops in a bathtub should be plenty. In the shower, a couple of drops added to 5ml plain shower gel or shampoo, (avoiding getting it in your eyes).Bergamot oil is strongly antimicrobial and antifungal, getting you clean and shining as well as smelling lovely. This Bergamot blends beautifully with Black Pepper essential oil for an extra invigorating skin wash if you want an invigorating, more masculine fragrance. It can be added to carrier oils such as Argan, Jojoba or Vit E oil - 5 drops essential oil mixed with two teaspoons (10ml) carrier/base oil for body moisturising or massage.Loads of uses - vapouriser or burner to fragrance your home; in candles, soaps, shampoos and shower gels.Add a few drops to a cupful of bicarbonate of soda, scatter the mix on carpets before vacuuming, and makes a great household cleaner and disinfectant if a few drops are added to a general purpose cleaner for hard surfaces.
