Mechnical keyboard with three independent wireless channels.
****** Review written on Day 1 ******Except for the missing batteries, this keyboard is great out of the box.*The Good*:As shown in the photo, I now find a perfect typing companion for my Surface Pro tablet. None of the existing keyboard covers for Surface can hold the tablet up-right; and Bastron (the manufacturer) made it possible. Plus, I cannot complain too much for the maniacal characteristics of the switches. Through Bluetooth connection, I can easily reach 100+ WPM (words per minute) with no issue. The "lag", if any, shall be caused by interference around the Bluetooth receiver.*The inconvenient truth*:To note, the USB receiver cannot be stored in the battery compartment. The receiver is simply too big to squeeze in. Yet, it makes perfect sense to leave the USB receiver plugged to my desktop machine at home.*Usage-suggestions and pending items*1. Wrist rest: I would argue that a wrist rest is a must for mechanical keyboards in genial.2. Travel Case: while mechanical keyboards are durable in general, they are not as impact-resistent compared to their typing durability. It would be nice if Bastron can sell a fitting travel-case. I now plan to use the white box that came with the keyboard as a expedient "travel-case".

Solid compact keyboard but hard to use arrow keys for text edit
I bought the mouse combo version, which uses one of the 3 wireless connections by default. The other wireless channel is used to connect to the included 2.4Ghz USB transceiver. That leaves just one connection for a bluetooth device. So it's a convenient setup if you are going to use a wireless mouse on the other two devices. The keyboard structurally is strong, and the typing on this mechanical keyboard is very good for a typist like me, despite the keys are much smaller and closer together as necessary to be compact. The function row is great if you use it, and the slot to hold tablet or smart phone is nice. It's thick enough to hold a device with leather cover. I'm able to connect to bluetooth for a Windows 10-based laptop as well as a MacBook (mid 2014 running latest High Sierra).I have two main concerns. First is after a while, hitting first key doesn't register. After a slight delay (1 sec more or less), then second character I type shows up. So I frequently had to backspace and try again. This is on Windows 10 and there might be a configuration to solve this problem - something like don't let connection go to sleep. I'm not sure.Second issue is more a deal breaker for me. The arrow keys require using FN key. Because these keys are on the same side of the keyboard, I needed to use fingers on the same right hand to hold down FN key while hitting the arrow keys. This is tough to do and greatly hinder productivity while elevates blood pressure. I needed arrow keys frequently to do fine cursor movement during text editing either on the text input line or in a text editor. I've seen compact keyboard squeezing in dedicated arrow keys, and I would suggestion the designers try to do that. Can't rely fine cursor movement on mouse or even touchscreen.

Not quite as advertised..
All said and done, not cherry mx greens. If you pull the key caps off with a tool it is clearly a blue stem. But it's not cherry Mx Blues either. The activation force is too light for even that, closer to a red but still being clicky. Most likely a Kaihl or Gateron ripoff. Still a fully mechanical keyboard. It is fairly bulky and weighty for its size due to that, and does not come with its own carrying case. More or less you have to come up with your own solution or use the box it came it to lug it around. Also comes with questionable assembly as several of the key caps were put in sideways or upside down which is how I found the blue key caps.

it is a pretty good option
Cheaply made, and it has problems with adding extra characters where I don't want them. The mouse does not work for Apple computers. For the price, it is a pretty good option.

Visibility issues
I was looking for a backlit wireless keyboard that had both mechanical keys and RF rather than just Bluetooth, because the current Mac OS won't let you make Bluetooth undiscoverable. (I'm plagued by other devices within range trying to connect.) That's a relatively unusual combination of features, so when this keyboard seemed to tick all the boxes, I had high hopes of its performance.Alas, I ended up returning it because of some fundamental design issues. The key legibility is poor. The font used is almost stencil style, not the standard keyboard font, and inevitably it's low contrast because the letters are translucent. (You can see it in the photos on the product page, but it looks much clearer there than it does in the flesh.) I hoped the backlight would improve the contrast, but not only was the light very dim, it also switched off every time I paused for a few seconds. I swapped batteries just in case, but it didn't make any difference. The light doesn't seem to be adjustable: if it is, I couldn't find a way of doing it. As no other review has mentioned this, I wonder if I simply received a faulty one. But you shouldn't need to rely on a backlight to make keys easy to read anyway. On top of that, the arrow keys are operated with the Fn key which is right next to them, and that makes the manoeuvre very awkward. You need a bit of separation to use both hands comfortably. It's a real shame, because otherwise it's a great keyboard. It's a solid build, it works fine with a Mac, it's comfortable to use (with the exception mentioned above) and the mechanical keys feel as good as the ones on a keyboard that I paid £150 for. It's also dual mode. If the key legibility was better and the Fn key had been in another position, it would have been ideal at any price. But the legibility issue made it a struggle to use.

Item not as described and not straightforward to use.
This keyboard is nice to type on but its not very well thought over. The back and forward buttons on the mouse control switching between dongle or bluetooth connections and not back and forward. The controls aren't clear and there are buttons that do nothing, in the manual it states for one "do not use this button".The mouse is poorly built and feels cheap. The description isn't very clear, you can only pair this mouse and keyboard with 1 bluetooth devices at once and 1 device via the USB receiver. I was led to believe you could control 2-3 bluetooth devices with the same keyboard. The keyboard works well in windows but the arrow keys are hard to use and on android its almost impossible to use due to lack of menu, back and home controls. Its very heavy. The good thing is the switches on this keyboard are nice so it's good to type on and it does keep connection well once paired.Overall I can't recommend this product.

Well made but badly flawed....and does NOT use Cherry switches
It's nicely made...a good solid piece of kit.The quality and feel of the keys are everything you would expect from a good quality mechanical keyboard. But, it misses keystrokes all the time.....making it useless for any serious work or gaming. Most frequently it misses they first keystroke after the keyboard has been 'sleeping' for jsut a few minutes.....but it misses random strokes also.I've tried fresh batteries and the keyboard is only a few centimeters from the 2.4Ghz dongle. Other cheap wireless keyboard work fine and the same problem is evident on the BT connection. Also, the title is very misleading as this keyboard uses a Chinese switch (Kaihong) and NOT Cherry Blue switches as stated. They seem reasonably good quality so far but don't think you are getting Cherry switches at this price!

Nice piece of kit with old school ‘proper’ keyboard feel
Nice piece of kit with old school ‘proper’ keyboard feel. Not compatible with Ipad2 - a failing of the iPad not the keyboard, but not stated in the description - hence 4 stars. Tested and works fine with an IPad Air and above though.
