item is very durable and easy to install

First of all the light itself is very cool. Has many functions with the attached switch to make changes to the light. Very bright…easy to assemble in less than 10 minutes. The issue I had was downloading the “free” app that allows you to control the light with your phone. App needs a credit card to activate but says that there is no cost involved. Once this information was put in….my debit card was immediately charged $34.98. The light is a great value and is pretty sharp. Just don’t download the app and put your credit information into their system

I bought this for my son’s gaming setup. He enjoys the different light patterns and settings in the app and the lamp is bright enough that he’s not sittin in pitch black darkness

I found the pieces to be very thin and flimsy. Especially where it attaches to the disc and plug at the bottom. It easily falls over and i would suggest maybe using it in a corner with a chest or table beside it to offer a little support and to keep it from tipping over if an arm or a toy touches it.The app is not user friendly! Don’t bother using the QR code! It downloads the wrong app! You have to go to the App Store and search for the app by name. I can see that kids will get a kick out of this with the flashing lights and changing colors, but it’s not for me. I will be taking it to goodwill. It is certainly not worth $50. I’ve seen others on Amazon that look far more sturdy!

These lights are bright and tall. They could fit perfectly in a corner and light up a room.

This light has so many good things going for it. It is tall and thin (every woman's dream, right?) and has a ton of light patterns that seem ready to have fun with. And it makes the entire wall, and room, look like a great party is underway. Here's what went wrong: I like in a house where someone with a strong enough antenna (like truckers use for their CB radio) could cause lights to turn themselves on. For this reason alone I no longer purchase the lights that can be turned on with a touch. They go on all night long.Well, this light has a similar, if not identical issue. When I picked it up to move it, it turned itself on, so I just turned if off with the remote. No biggie. But, later, as I was sitting there, the light suddenly came on. It turned itself back off and then came on again and began going through the patterns. It was, uh, interesting. One other thing was that the light kept going back to a red light, when I changed it, it would change itself back to red, which, because I love horror movies, really made me think of the more recent boogeyman trailer. So - not a happy feeling there. LOL.I did not get around to downloading the app - mainly because the light turned itself on. But, I'm more of a manual button pusher anyway, and prefer to be able to work an item without yet another app on my phone. At this point I need one app to rule them all. LOL. Jokes aside, this lamp is really cool and but not for the fact that it picks up interference and turns itself on, it would have been a great addition to my lighting. I will likely keep working with it to see if there is a way to stop that from happening because I really love the sleek look of this light and how soft the part that actually lights up is. It is super soft - I have no idea what that material is, but it is so soft. Otherwise, I will plug it in on an as needed basis - which is inconvenient, but I like the patterns and colors (when it's not scary-movie red). 8)

I liked the simplicity of this lamp. Easy enough to assemble, low profile. But - the app and control was not good. It connected easily the first time, but then would not connect and function without a lot of fiddling with it. Looking to replace it with something that would integrate with more reliable existing apps like Hue or apple home instead.
