I bought this product exactly 5 months ago, not top notch quality, but I had no issues until a couple of days ago when I accidentally knocked it against another dish in my dish rack after washing it. The knock was so slight I barely paid attention to it - until I went to fill it with butter again & saw what you see in the picture. Holy bleep! I've banged thin glass goblets harder than I did this without so much as the tiniest chip or crack.So I wanted to contact the seller to see if I could purchase a new bell at a "reasonable" price: this dish, or any other butter dish, is no longer available from this seller (naturally), but worse than that I have no way of contacting the seller to address the issue.RANT FOLLOWS:Too many of these sellers are just store fronts for second grade (or lower) Chinese manufacturers, that are supplying numerous sellers with either the exact same products that get labelled with "unique" names, or very slight variations in style that falsely bolster the impression of being "unique" items.Amazon has now fully embraced the kind of cheap quality products that have tainted Ebay's reputation for over a decade. And I can't think of a department that this doesn't apply to, although the Electronics Dept. may be the worst of the lot.Do yourself a favour - try to shop in-store as often a possible. At least you can see what you are up against quality wise before you buy. Unless you LIKE repackaging/relabelling/returning your purchases, when and if you can.

It looked like an odd way to keep butter handy and away from pet hair, etc. but I find it very convenient and it does do exactly what it says. The butter is protected and I will be using the butter crock from now on.

Well made, keeps butter pretty well

I got this for my friend as move in gift, got the blue color. I really like that is clearly marked for water fill, no extra measuring. He really enjoyed it, keeps the butter neat looking and always ready to spread!
