I use these for soil blocking. They are the perfect size for two sets of my smallest soil blocks, so 40 blocks a tray, but I usually only do one set per tray as I’m a backyard gardener and often don’t need 40 of the same plant. These work well for growing zinnia and marigolds but I’ve used the larger blocks for tomatoes, peppers and okra.

I really like these trays for the size and colors. They're very handy for serving snacks, drinks and generally keeping things tidy. However, I misread (or too hastily read) the description. I thought I was getting trays that were made entirely of straw material. When I received the trays and saw the #5 PP recycling symbol on the bottom, I knew it was polypropylene. A revisit to the product page shows that it does clearly state this. It was my error! However, I'm still disappointed that I did not get a plastic-free product, as this would have been my preference. Lesson learned - read the product details carefully and know what you're getting!

Although these trays are too cute I was disappointed in the size of these trays. These are mini trays for a child to put a small snack on.😏
