At least it works on soft woods
This is easier to use for mitered corners than strap clamps.. Unlike strap clamps, this device have a series of pins/screws on each side that grab the wood and do leave holes/marks that may need to be filled during finishing. But it can be used on a single corner instead of tightening a strap around four corners. This clamp is functional for the purpose. That being said, it is a lower quality version of products with similar design. Some other products have tighter fitting pins with sharp points on them and are constructed with higher quality materials and tighter tolerances. The blunt screws on this product barely work on pine and other soft woods, but may not bite properly into maple, oak, or other hardwoods. I will be sharpening the pins on a bench grinder to help them bite better. The bolts that hold the tool together also loosen easily. They need to be kept a bit loose for the clamp to function, but the nuts can spin right off. I added a drop of threadlocker compound to each bolt so they would stay in place. If you’ll use this clamp infrequently you may save some money by buying this version, but if it will be a frequently used tool, invest in a higher quality version.

Disappointing quality of machining and components.
First of all, it arrived with loose nuts and screws in the bag. No reason it could not have been fully assembled. The hardware is probably stainless steel, but of the lowest quality. The nuts used to secure the steel plates of the body cannot be tightened enough to use lock washers. Therefore, some kind of nylon sleeved lock nut should have been used. The so-called teeth of the two jaws are loose and blunt. When screwed in tight enough not to wiggle, these poorly machined screws are too long for the intended use. These should have been provided with a with a broad point of some kind. Say around 135 degrees. Properly machined, they would not easily back out while providing the necessary adjustments.Three stars because it is functional, and the materials are not of bad quality. If you like to re-machine your personal shop tools, the upgrade would be straight forward. For something that works well out of the box, keep shopping.Cannot recommend.
