I like the product. I have owned a few of these but the 8 in one was not as pictured nor was it as the 8 in that I replaced. Possible design change?

I liked this item when I got it. I have an 8 inch knife that I was looking for a safe sheath for and found this one. However, one day when I was putting the knife in the sheath, I wasn't fully paying attention and while I slipped the knife in the opening closest to me and with the sharp blade in the sheath, the tip of the knife protruded from the top which is open and should not be open. It should be sealed or closed and only the part where the knife goes in and along the length should be open. So, that is why I am not giving it a higher rating. It is not safe and the reason for a sheath is so there is no danger when the knife is being put away.

I purchased a Zwilling 8" knife. It was expensive and I was disappointed that it did not come with a blade cover. I tried other covers and sent them all back. This one works great. It stays on tight but doesn't ruin the blade. Very pleased with this purchase.

These guards work well on heavier, thicker knives. Thinner bone knives are not secure in this guard.

A great way to protect the sharpness of your knife.

Simple product, sturdy plastic. Works. May scratch your knife, but hey, a kitchen knife is made for preparing food and not for babying right?

I bought this for my vintage bullnose knife which extends just a wee bit over 10inches. I was very happy to see that the edge cover is actually 10.5inches long, thus shielding the entire blade fully and then some. Good quality, thick plastic. As to how long it will last before cracking like all plastics do these days, only time will tell.The cover fitted the knife snugly, without making it unduely diffcult to draw or sheath the knife. I like it very much.
