That's when I did the above mentioned of contacting support and a great response back
UPDATE 3/31/2017 - The company gave me a yet again another price reduced coffee grinder for $0.20. So we'll see how the third one fairs. I found the part that's slipping in my coffee grinder, it's a little black plastic piece that when the grinder is trying to grind, the metal spindle in the middle slips and eventually stretches out that plastic piece so it keeps slipping. And then it just stops working all together. It's why I'm able to spin it when it's empty, but when it hits the hard beans to grind, spindle puts enough pressure to slip through this plastic piece.UPDATE: 3/22/2017 -The 2nd coffee grinder after ~1 month started doing the same thing as the first and the gears started slipping. I know this is a bit harsh, but I'm lowering my review to 2 stars for right now. Going to contact their support and will probably get another grinder for $0.16, but the fact that it keeps breaking so frequently is really annoying. Especially when you just expect it to work on a weekend morning and you just want coffee, to then find out you can't even grind the beans.----------------------------------------------My unit did end up failing around the 2 month mark worth of use, similar to another user. I contacted support and they were very fast with responding (<2hrs.) and they gave me a 99% off coupon for the unit, and not require me ship it back, which cost me $0.16 which is cheaper than any other warranty return I've done in awhile. The issue is one of the plastic pieces on the metal spool in the middle, that's used to turn the ceramic burr, was slipping. So as we turned the crank every 3 or 4 rotations the burr would grip for one rotation/grind and then keep slipping. We took it apart and put it back together to make sure it wasn't anything weird that got stuck, but it wasn't and still didn't work. That's when I did the above mentioned of contacting support and a great response back.

Best in Class
Got a discount for writing this review. I like to let folks know up front.Biggest plus is that it's a ceramic burr grinder. If expresso is your goal, the Eugenys is your lowest cost way to get a perfect powder grind I know of. As to construction, it's very well made if a bit light. However, more than adequate and certainly a lot for the money. As others have said, it's the perfect camp grinder in being small and lightweight. The 4 star rating is for the above reasons. The cons are that it is VERY slow going and a bit much for grinding enough for a full pot in the AM. While not hard to crank, the sheer monotony can get tiresome. However, for occasional use it's a bargain and best in class. You can get daily use out of it as the perfect pepper grinder. For that, it would get a five star rating as the speed in use for that is greater than most pepper grinders and the cost/performance is higher.

This coffee bean grinder works great. It has a adjustment wheel on the bottom side of the grinder ( in the first picture ) to set from a very coarse ground to a really fine ground. I read that you should not over tighten the adjustment as you can damage the blades. The first time I used this grinder I put in six spoonfuls ( the stainless spoon that comes with it ) of beans on a fairly course grind. It took about thirty to forty seconds to completely grind. This grinder comes apart easily for cleaning or replacing the ceramic grinders. I have not owned a blade type grinder so I can only state from what I read online that you want a burr one. This grinder looks very nice sitting beside my French coffee press on the counter. The supplied scoop comes with a clip to attach it to something if you wanted or needed. After my purchase, this seller sent me a E-mail with ten coffee recipes. I thought that was nice of them. If your looking for a nice looking manual coffee grinder that looks nice then you won't go wrong with this one. I did purchase this product at a reduced price in return for a honest and unbiased revue. I hope I've helped you out.

I would like a replacement
NOTE: seller responded quickly (good) and offered a replacement (at 99% off). That was good, but I shouldn't have to pay the 1%. I'll up the review to 3-stars (full replacement at no charge to me would've given them 5 stars). It cost me $0.17 and them 2 stars.Original review: 1 starAlmost a month to the date (after the return window closed from Amazon) I was grinding coffee and it wouldn't grind. I took it apart, checked for obstructions, and cleaned it. I even checked the beans one at a time to make sure no foreign body got in. However, it did it again. There is a problem in the plastic insert in the male ceramic blade. As I grind, the male blade moves up, changing the grind setting, and becoming "jammed". When I loosen the tightening screw, the male blade it jammed. There is a problem in that as a turn the handle, the blade is "slipping" (not stuck and not grinding) forcing the male ceramic blade up the shaft and changing the grind setting, eventually getting jammed. Either this is a problem with the design, or this particular grinder has faulty parts. I would like a replacement, but I'll see (and re-post as necessary) when I hear from the seller.

I've been utilizing this grinder each morning for some time now and haven't had any issues up until this moment. Predictable size of grind, simple to alter and simple to dismantle/reassemble for cleaning. I have dropped the clay supplements and they didn't break fortunately. What I particularly like is that the oils from the bean go directly into the coffee filter and I don't lose any coffee quality in the exchange of holders with grounds.I haven't utilized the compartment for gathering the grounds more than once, I want to grind directly into the filter for pour over. I make a solitary glass at any given moment and the grinding isn't an issue, in case will make an entire pot you might need to get an electric grinder for that reason. The grinding arm expels effectively so you can store it upright and not stress over it falling over. A truly decent looking item likewise, so it could be forgotten on the counter without being a blemish like an average plastic electric grinder.
