what size is the thread? i need a 4/5 in thread

Not sure of the size. I bought two strands of their LED soler lights and they fit both sets if that helps.

Will this work on a solar powered fountain pump ?

We cannot guarantee that this would work as the cord was only specifically manufactured to work with Brightech strands.

Will this adapter work with an electric string light?

Yes, but only if it is for "electric string lights". This does not work well for non-electric string lights.
