Bought 2 of these - 1 for each of my daughters. They are very loud, similar to a house alarm sound! I'm hoping the occasion where they need to use them will never actually arise, however I'm really glad they've got them and they are well worth the money. They arrived before the due date and I'm now going to purchase one for myself too!

This is a great little item, easy to put in your pocket or bag. It is very loud when the pin is pulled.

Very loud and will do the job perfectly, slight gripes: it feels cheap and is pretty ugly- the gold version is anyway. But like I say, it works perfectly.

I got this for when I’m walking the dogs across the fields in the dark nights, it keep my mind at rest. The sound is really loud and would certainly alert anyone! The torch is also super handy. I got mine in the gold colour,

Present for my student granddaughter as she works late and is quite often alone when walking home at night .Am very happy with my purchase .

Great idea. Especially for my daughters set them off to hear what sounded like very loud But when son was trying to make me jump a week later the sound wasn’t working so disappointed!!

I check my personal alarm every few months. I've had 2 of this model and both have stopped working when they were less than a year old. It's not the battery, because the light is still working. But the alarm doesn't sound at all. This is really scary because there is no outward sign that they've stopped working - they still look the same with no apparent damage. If I hadn't checked then I wouldn't know it was useless. If I'd needed it in an emergency then it would have totally failed me. Definitely not recommended.

Luckily I've never had to use this. When it arrived I tested it out and it's very loud and high pitched without being deafening to the human ear. It does it's job. There may be cheaper ones but the quality might not be the same as this one.
