Cute little necklace, shame the B fell off after 10mins of wearing it

Gift for a friend towards a Tudor Queen costume. She loved it.

I want to start by saying this isn't a negative review, and for £7.99 this is actually a good value necklace. The colour of the "B" is gold although I'm not sure what metal is used, it is well made with no rough edges. The "pearls" are evenly sized and look well made. The design is based on the iconic necklace worn by Anne Boleyn and that's what attracted me to it. Good for fans of the Tudors, history, or for cosplay, as well as being a pretty design, however there are some things worth knowing before you buy it.The description needs to say that this is definitely faux pearl (plastic) and not real pearl although for the price that should be obvious. It doesn't come in a presentation box/gift box, it arrives in a basic clear plastic bag, so I thought that worth mentioning if you're getting this as a gift. The biggest issue I have is that the length is waaay longer than expected.. in fact if I want to wear it I'll have to tie a knot in the back, or tie the back tighter using a ribbon to shorten it because it hangs well below my top/dress (unless I wear a high or polo neck jumper/top instead which doesn't exactly give Tudor vibes you know?) it's partway down my chest, it is definitely not choker length like Anne's necklace was, or even the slightly longer one shown in the listing pictures. You can adjust it using the chain at the back, but the length is very long to start with.The B is also bigger than expected - for me that isn't a problem, but if you're looking for historical accuracy it might be (see pics for size in my hand).So overall it's really pretty, it feels and looks well made and good value, and it's obvious whose necklace this is based on - but it needs to be a lot shorter in length!

Bought for use as a cosplay item for a renfaire. It does look a little cheap and the clasp isn’t the highest quality, but it is a good replica of the necklace Ann Boleyn wore. Good for the purpose purchased and I think £7.99 is a fair price for it, I wouldn’t pay anymore.
