I have some of Sister Proctor's other books, mostly compilations of the experience of the faithful and the enquiring. This starts this way but then adds many beautiful prayers and poems based on the Rosary, before giving historical background and origins of the practice, theological and devotional meditations and even instructions in constructing your own, with lots of addresses for Rosary resources. Listening to the ebb and flow of a public or a family rosary always reminds me of the rhythmical waves on the seashore, very assuring and calming in the presence of Jesus, Our Saviour, and His Mother Mary

I started reading some of the stories and was amazed. I would like to share something with the readers. On 28th February 2014, I tried to switch my kindle on but nothing happened. I tried several times and knew it was not low on battery as I charge it every day. I thought, oh no, I can't recite my rosary as I need to access the prayer book that has the mysteries for the rosary. I tried so many times but it would not come on. I then laid my finger gently again on the power button and believe this will work if I recite my Hail Mary's and next thing I knew, my Kindle came on. My faith has got stronger.

I'm surprised that this book hasn't been reviewed before although I understand it has sold many thousands of copies. It is an 'old school' type of book and that may have put people off buying it but I would like to recommend it for its 'feel good' factor. As a prayer of the Rosary I found the stories quite up-lifting. Whether the prayers actually resolved a lot of the issues in the stories or not is kind of irrelevant. The fact that people believed it resolved these issues and the fact that they wanted to share them with strangers in the belief that it would help others makes the whole book worth while. The book also covers the Rosary in more detail i.e. Its history, the Rosary prayers and even how to make your own Rosary. I have 2 Rosaries and use them both regularly because I find praying the Rosary meditative. And that is the whole point of praying the Rosary, the meditation and accepting Mary into your life. I'm not sure if the Rosary is back in fashion from the point of Prayer and I know people who feel a little embarrassed admitting they use the Rosary, but it just feels so perfectly natural to me. So if like me you are interested in any aspect of the Rosary then this is an ideal book to start with.

This is ok ,but not as deep or spiritual as I thought. More sentimental than true depths of faith.The Rosary is more powerful on a higher levelBut should be fine for those on a beginner level

I enjoyed the stories of hope and miracles received by praying and devotion to the rosary, this book has renewed and revived my love for the most holy rosary.

Moving, a worth while read for everyone whether Christian or other. Comforting in times of need or just a nice read with heart felt stories.

Wonderful book which shows the true power of the rosary. It is a book you can read and re read and enjoy it every time. Our Lady shows her power through this devotion again and again.

Again I love Patricia Proctor's books. Well written and easy to read and very "Inspirational". Would recommend this to anyone.

This book inspired me so much. I read it after reading her book 101 inspirational stories of the power of prayer. Both were exactly what I needed to get back on track and to be inspired of how to pray more effectively. I hope you read this and pass it on to others, what beautiful gifts they are from Sr. Patricia and those that shared their prayer stories.

For all Catholics and those who are searching for why we Catholics honor and reverence our Lord's Mother and our Queen.This books is a faith builder. Our Queen Mother Mary is a very powerful prayer warrior for us with her son. Thesestories will concrete your belief in the humble scriptural prayers of the rosary of Mother Mary.

I confess I only read about half the book. I think I was looking for something a little deeper about the mystery and meaning of the rosary, and was hoping I'd find it in people's testimonies. Most of the stories, although serious in nature, are brief and did not have much of an impact on me. But I think it's wonderful to read how so many lives have been touched by saying the rosary. I have been meditating on the mysteries of Christ's life regularly now for several months - which has been invaluable in terms of increasing my devotion to Christ. I have been reading the Bible for the last 20 years, but I have found that recitation of the rosary is the best way for me to slow down and take time to reflect on the meaning of Jesus' life. In so doing, I have also learned valuable lessons of humility and obedience from the lives of Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, Elizabeth, the magi, Anna, Simeon, etc.
