Couldn't be more pleased.
I bought the used Cross Century II 10 kt gold. Needless to say when I opened the box I thought what have I done. Sure it was discounted but I didn't think that accounted for the brownish appearance. I took a light dusting of baking powder and covered the pen with very little of it and polished. Now I have a bright shining Cross Century II that I hope to have for many years. Veru happy with the purchase.

No longer an American product
My gift was given to my brother who was always a Cross pen user. We were both disappointed that the product is no longer made in RI but now China. Just another foreign product. It is a fine product, but wish is was still an American product.

dirty and dull
I felt very uncomfortable with this pen, because I came dirty, tarnished and dull, well below expectations for a product like this, but received what I ordered, but it looks very sloppy.

not worth the price. feels like cheap plated pen. POOR BUILD QUALITY. when you shake it you'll hear something is loose inside.

It shouldn't be more than $20 item
I bought this as a set. It cost me around $200, but doesn't write or feel expensive as it is now a chinese product with very marginal quality. Pen and pencil are lighter, Ink doesn't flow as well as my bic pen for 20 cents, pencil mechanical are not as good as the original cross ones. It may not cost more than $2 to manufacture in china using disadvantaged workers, but they are still selling it for over $100 here in USA - capitalism and communism at their best.
