Wwe: John Cena - Word Life [DVD]

I'm not sure what possessed me to buy this so many years after the fact. John Cena has changed a great deal since he was known as the rapping "doctor of thuganomics" but I remembered this gimmick being entertaining and the dvd was cheap so I settled in for some nostalgia.I've heard it said that you should never go back. Perhaps that statement is true. Whilst some of Cena's raps and disses still raise a smile, others are a little bit cringeworthy by todays standards and I am sure the politically correct brigade would probably faint at the content of this DVD! Wrestling has certainly changed since this compilation was made.....So the main content of the DVD is of course the raps, but we also have a few matches from the same era and some interesting behind the scenes stuff so overall this is not a bad purchase and it certainly gave me a laugh (and a cringe). I wonder how many DVDs it will take to cover Cena's entire career when he finally decides to retire?

This DVD was produced at the time that Cena was slowly becoming WWE's premier babyface. so its kind of hysterical that most of the raps you see Cena perform, he's the heel. I've got to be honest....seeing this dvd and the bonus matches...which weren't too bad, showed this reviewer that in the current WWE... Cena needs to return to the heel he was.The only reason you should buy this though, is if you are A) Cena fan, or B) a WWE fan that likes a bargain!!

Some of John Cena's best freestyles and rap battles all on one disc. That's enough to satisfy a die hard fan. This DVD really shows how John Cena gained popularity throughout his early days

not watched yet but sure it will be good its for my 7yr old son hes mad on wwe was cheap

Well, all the other reviews saying how it's all abuot his raps e.t.c as it does say on the back of the case! The delivery was very quick, came in 2 days! and looking foward to watch.
