Ingenious little tool.
Crooked and uneven levers drive me crazy. No matter how much I move and rotate them, they always seem a bit uneven. This little tool along with my derailleur alignment tool solves that problem. It is especially useful on road levers where it is hard to align the hoods since there isn't much of a visual reference point on them. This also works well on flat bar levers too. It's easy to use; just remove you stem top cap, thread it in, thread your derailleur alignment tool into it and then use the alignment tool to reference the same point on each lever and adjust until they are in the same position on both sides of the handlebars. It has a few minor downsides; you need to have a derailleur alignment tool, it only works if you have a standard threadless headset bike, and for road bikes, you need to get one of the levers angled first to reference off of. It is the only way I've found to quickly and easily get levers in exactly the same position though. It would be excellent in a shop where levers are often installed or adjusted. I only have a few bikes, so don't need it often, but am always glad to have it when needed.

Great tool
If you setup your own bike this is a simple solution to getting your shifters set correctly. You will need a derailleur hanger tool as well. Highly recommended.
