It depends. If its body is relatively wide, I think the medium size will be more suitable.

I used it to assist my dog jump on the suv, my dog's 60 lbs and I bought a medium. Worked good for it. Hopefully will work for you. The sling strap is adjustable. Nice dog lifter!!
