Review: Great ideas for those of us on the go that need fast, healthy ideas! - . I have another book from this author but decided to purchase this for two main reasons: Simplicity and portable meals for myself during the day and the kids for lunch and it fit both requirements. Like many others, our days are busy with work, school, activities, fitting in a workout. My husband and I both have extensive travel too, so the last thing I want is beginning or ending a day with heavy meal prep; yet we still want to eat healthily and as plant based as possible. This book allows this with make ahead items such as smoothie jars and protein bowls that you can just pull out of the fridge when its time to eat. I also like the fact that this is adaptable from one person to a whole family and covers breakfast, lunch, entrees, higher protein meals, items that kids will like and meals you can freeze and eat., or have ready in an Instant pot type appliance. Another call out as I often see this as an ask of many cookbooks is the fact that the nutritional analysis is included so you see the calories, far, carbs, fiber, sugar and protein. There are a lot of really appealing recipes, I was impressed with breakfast options as I have been trying to get my kids to try new things that provide a better start to the day: the smoothie jars are perfect in this instance as you simply assemble the night before and blend day of use so it takes seconds in the morning. There are also waffles, chia cups, oatmeal, that can all be ready to go quickly at the start of a day. For lunch there are salads (innovative too) wraps, stews, pizzas that can all be alternated with the dinners which includes tacos, stir fry, Soba, lasagna, even a bouillabaisse -vegan style and much easier to prep. Ingredients are easily found in any grocery store, which also makes this book an advantage over some others. A highlight for me is the spinach onion sour cream dip - a secret guilty pleasure of mine is onion dip which is not good for you but this uses sunflower sour cream which can be made ahead, does not require soaking overnight and its quick to prepare. Same with the cashew ranch. There are also some great snacks: Chocolate Tahini "nice cream", seed clusters, even a vegan (peppery seitan ) jerky. And great sauces which can be made ahead to make prep on other dishes even faster. This book also contains weekly shopping guides, and suggested menus, so great for everyone but particularly those new to a plant based diet, looking for an easy guide to start. Nothing is overly complex and these recipes are attainable for all. Great book, now I am off to eat my spinach onion dip (with carrots of course)!! Review: 10 STARS! So easy and beautiful - If I could give it 10 stars I would! I’m a complete beginner to vegan cooking and find this beyond useful and understandable! I won’t buy a cookbook ever unless there are photos for the recipes, and this book not only has photos but very beautiful and artfully taken photos! The recipes are easy with minimal steps and I instructions, I hate cooking and am also known to skip right over a recipe if I look at the instructions look too daunting or time consuming and ingredients list is too long. These are all very doable, quick and simple!! Not only is this book pleasing to look at it comes with weekly meal plans! Starting out vegan I didn’t want just a cookbook I wanted someone to curate weekly or daily meals for me so I could prep, this book is all about the prep and making your week easy when your on the go! Some of the weeks include repeat meals but that’s obvious when it is a prep week. But for example one day in here includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks! I’m just so happy with the ease of using the book, planning out your weeks, and the shopping lists included for each week! There are 13 different weeks I counted, and obviously once you get the hang of it it’s so easy to swap things or mix and match to make your own menus. There is a Nutritional analysis for each meal, snack or sauce as well. I just can’t say enough about this cookbook/weekly meal plan, oh and so far I have loved each recipe and don’t miss animal product at all! I will also add my husband is not vegan but it’s super simple for him to just add whatever meat he wants to the dish, and of course top with cheese ;)

Delicious and easy to follow
I love the recipes in the book! So far everything I’ve made has been delicious (except the kelp chips but I’m pretty sure that was my bad). The instructions are straight forward and I love the grocery list and prep day run down for the meal prep weeks. It makes cooking for 1 easy and I like the all the recipes are listed individually so if you don’t want to make a full week of food you could pick and choose from anywhere. I have noticed a few page number typos for sauce/snack references but was able to find everything without much of an issue.

Easy meal prep
Really well thought out book. I had received a preview copy from Netgalley, but I enjoyed the recipes enough that I decided to purchase a hardcover copy of this one. The recipes are different and original, but simple. The Dill Roasted Chickpeas with Potato Wedges was delicious. The shopping lists contained ingredients that were easily obtained at most local supermakets, even ones in smaller towns. Everything was organized and easy to understand. I only had one small criticism. I don't do complicated breakfasts. I make some overnight oats with some dried fruit, or some granola. A lot of people are the same about quick uncomplicated breakfasts. I wish she had separated the shopping list, with the breakfast ingredients in a separate category. It didn't affect my rating because it was small flaw in a really great cookbook. I did have to cut down the proportions because I am single person, but that was easy. Everything worked well, and tasted great. I was able to easily put away a week of meals without a lot of work. The cleanup was also easy. I didn't make a lot of mess in the kitchen. This one is a keeper.

Tasty and Easy!
If you're like me and don't mind eating the same thing all week long then this cookbook is perfect for you. I'm on week two so far and loving it. The Lemon Rosemary Chickpea Pasta Casserole..drool worthy! The layout is super easy, includes the grocery list and some basic prep instructions for each week. I do all my prep on Sundays so this is perfect, everything is in a container and ready to grab and go during the week. I've had a little trouble with some of the portions, not in a bad way just in the my sandwich is so stuffed I can't keep it together and how the heck am I supposed to fit my mouth around this? She also has a section in the back with meal plans for families or couples, they aren't broken out as much as the indivicual meal plans in the main part of the book though. I would most definitely recommend this book!

Takes all of the guesswork out of meal planning and prepping
What a great book! I consider myself to be a very competent vegan cook, and I really enjoy cooking. Between work and other commitments, there are some weeks when I just can't find the time to cook, and for those weeks, this book will be a tremendous resource. Full menus, shopping lists, reheating needs, etc., are all thoughtfully laid out. The recipes themselves are great, too, whether you want to batch prep them or not, making this a great addition to any vegan cookbook collection. I tend to get stuck in a rut of freezing single-portion soups to bring to work for lunch on those busy weeks. While soup is great, it's nice to have something fresh or with a little more variety. The meals in this book go far beyond bowls and soups (the breakfast options alone are awesome), and I am really looking forward to prepping them!

Plantfully delighted!
I recently transitioned to plant-based eating and wanted to explore different meal planning options. This book has everything I like in a cookbook: beautiful photos, nutrition info and easy to follow instructions-no fancy, hard to find expensive ingredients. Each plan also has a grocery list. I liked it so much I ordered the author's other book, On the Go!

The prep is great for people who are starting or for those who've been doing it awhile
We have been doing plant based over 3 months now. I just got the cookbook about a month ago. Some great recipes making tasty food for us to enjoy. Would definitely recommend it IF you are new to plant based or you want some creative recipes to try. I found the cookbook by searching for recipes online and finding several by Ms. Sorbon that I liked; then I saw her cookbook.

Love LOVE this book
I’ve ordered tons and tons of recipe books.. opened them and realised I only like a couple of the recipes or they require lots of ingredients, etc. I bought this as wanted to get healthier and thought meal prepping was the way forward. I literally LOVE this book. Almost all recipes I like the look of. It gives you a shopping list per week, calorie breakdown, etc. one of my absolute favs!

Great cookbook!
I have so many vegan cookbooks, I feel pretty "been there/done that" about them. I didn't feel that way about this one! So many great ideas, and so many great recipes. I decided to pick this book up because it was on sale, and my meal prep ideas were getting stale, so I was complicating the recipes. These are easy, for the most part fast, and tasty. Highly recommend!
