Works just as well as an Apple Pencil 2, just without pressure sensitivity, on 2021 iPad Pro M1
This ESR pencil works very well with my 2021 iPad Pro M1 for my needs, which so far has been for 3D CAD programs and to use Bambu Studio on my iPad via the Duet app. This lets me use the pencil to precisely "paint" 3D models in detail with selected colors for multi-color prints on my Bambu A1, so pressure sensitivity for color shades isn't needed. Other than using the power button to turn the pencil on and the lack of pressure sensitivity, the ESR pencil works just as well as the Apple Pencil 2 that I was previously borrowing from my son.

works fine once you figure out how to make it work
I thought all I had to do was USE the pencil. Not only did I not realize I had to turn it on, I didn't intuitively know how to do so. Now that I have that figured out, it works as expected. The battery life could be longer, and I'd love for it to charge when attached to the iPad, but you pay a LOT more money for that to happen! For the money, it's fine. At this price point, it's not as big a deal if I lose it.Disclaimer: I have never used the Apple version, so I have no comparison opinion

Look no further…highly recommended
A no-brainer if you have a compatible iPad. In a nutshell, unless you don't mind paying 4 times as much for the official Apple pencil, this is an excellent choice. Look at online reviews…I saw one that ratedthis higher than the Apple version.Very easy installation. If your Bluetooth is turned on, it just asks if you want to allow pairing.Includes USB-C charger cable, in addition to the magnetic wireless charging.Keep in mind most people probably wont use a stylus everyday, but when you need one, it’s great to have this around, especially at this very reasonable price.

Stick to the apple products
It works well but it is not quite as well integrated as the first party Apple products, I'd recommend to stick to the Apple pencil even at the higher price.

Super inconsistent. Infuriating.
I got this pen because of all the praise it got. I hate it. I can’t even take notes without it glitching and messing up everything I write. It’s honestly infuriating. I drew a little note just to show here how it fails. It failed me 12 times there. It had 70% charge. Speaking of charge, no. This does not wireless charge. At least mine doesn’t, I tried everything.I love all other ESR products. Their case is incredible, and their screen protector is quality. This pen however is a big fat loss. Apple pen it is for me.

Only slightly worse than my $130 Apple Pencil
My iPad is 3rd generation 12.9 inch iPad Pro. I bought it new in 2018. I bought it with the Apple Pencil. At that time, the Apple Pencil worked pretty well with the iPad. However recently, the Apple pencil’s function has gotten worse and worse, so I decided to see what other stylus might work with my iPad. I found an online review that led me to this one. It has the two features I was primarily looking for: it will magnetize itself to the side of my iPad, and it will charge itself while magnetized to the side of my iPad. Besides that, it really doesn’t work very well, at least with the app I really need it work with (ForScore). But it was $100 less than the Apple Pencil, and it’s better than not having a stylus at all.To clarify: when I say it “doesn’t work well” I mean that it misses about half the pencil strokes I make. And sometimes I will go back and make a pencil stroke again because I’ll notice it didn’t appear on the iPad, and then suddenly both pencil strokes are there, and then maybe sometimes they’ll blink out of existence, and only one of them will be there, or they’ll both disappear again. It makes writing with the pencil incredibly frustrating, especially when trying to take notes quickly in a musical rehearsal. Considering that I’m having the same problem with the Apple Pencil and with the stylus I’m reviewing now, it’s possible that it’s not fault of either pencil, and the problem may actually be with the app or with my iPad.

Love it
Haven’t used the official Apple Pencil but don’t feel the need to this is cheaper has good battery life and charges usbc great value for money without having to use any adapters or anything like that
