Fantastic notebook for journaling.
Saw a link for this to another stationary website and was thrilled to be able to pick it up here from Amazon. I have a couple of these now and the quality and design are sublime. I would recommend either of the covers as well to keep the sturdy paper cover from getting too dinged up or dirty. The quality of the paper is outstanding. I have used a wide variety of pens and inks on the paper - Monte Blanc, Zebra G750 with LK refill, and my Rotring 600 with Schmidt EF9000 in both medium and fine points and the paper is smooth and easy to write on, zero bleed, and the rules version is broken out into sections that you can use for whatever note taking you might have. Simple but elegant. Quality and value. These are things that matter and as I looked for something to capture my daily journaling thoughts, this was the choice that made sense. The A5 is the perfect size and I'll keep buying these as long as they keep making them.

Midori MD Notebook
Midori MD notebooks NEVER disappoint. The paper is easy on the eyes and writing on it is absolutely lovely. It takes fountain pens, gel pens, ballpoint pens, and pencils all equally well. The paper itself isn’t too thick and the notebook lies completely flat when opened. These are some of my favorite notebooks to write in.

Forever a Midori girl!
After discovering journal-tok(I’ve been an avid journaler since 7 lol) I never really knew good notebook brands and deep dove into wanting a Midori, I FINALLY ordered both the A5 lined and blank and I’m obsessed, I love the paper it’s so smooth and the way the book lays flat, it’s the perfect size for my custom A5 journal & has just enough pages!! I highly recommend trying Midori, in my opinion they are so worth the price and I will be repurchasing once I finish this one IF you are hesitant about ghosting, I use a pilot vanishing point fountain pen and it doesn’t ghost that bad but I’m not going to say it doesn’t completely, if that bothers you I’d say maybe not get it but the quality of the paper is worth it for me

Best paper
Midori makes the perfect notebook and the A5 size is the perfect size for me. No cover needed, just open and write. I prefer writing with another great Japanese product, the Muji pen. If you journal or just take meeting notes, you’ll not have to worry about ink bleeding through the paper or wet ink smudging on the opposite page when closed. I’ve come to rely on and enjoy writing in these notebooks every day. If your new to journaling or an old pro look for new notebook paper, I recommend you give the Midori notebooks a try.

Simply Beautiful Paper
Beautiful paper: A joy to use with fountain pens. Smooth surface, lined and NO BLEED thru so both sides are usable. My Lamy Safaris purr on the page, lol. My only comment, because I cannot call it a "complaint" is that the cover is paper, lovely paper, but paper nonetheless. It looks like it will surely hold up to the binding, but will probably show smudging and handprints? Thus said, a small price to pay for such writing pleasure, imo.

Great for Fountain Pens
Paper is smooth and showcases fountain pen ink qualities (like sheen or shimmer) well. I did not notice the off white color altering my ink colors from what they’re supposed to be. Ink dries in a good amount of time. And the price is great. It is lay flat so the whole page is usable. Only downside is no page numbers, but I can work with that. Recommend to anyone that enjoys playing with an array fountain pen inks.

Not a practical FP paper
Paper is smooth. No feathering. Drying time is slow with an M Nib as with all good FP friendly papers. Ghosting is severe as the paper grammage is too low. Ok if you only write on one side of the paper but these books are expensive and you would want to use both sides. Only suitable for F nibs, pens that are low flow (definitely not Pelikan as these put down a lot of ink) and if one uses iron gall or pigmented light coloured inks. It is fountain pen friendly but not practical for the price.
