I'm not gonna lie, I absolutely adore this whale shark stuffie. I'm not just and avid plushie and stuffie collector, but I used to want to be a Marine Biologist growing up so seeing beautiful, natural (vs cartoonish) looking stuffed animals like this makes me so happy. It is a big, beautiful plush and at 120cms it's about theength of size of a body pillow from nose to tail and about as wide as one too, atleast until it starts to taper near the tail. In fact I actually use this as a body pillow and sleep with it between my knees and ankles. They did a great job with making this. The glass eyes, and markings, the embroidered gills on the sides and that deep mouth. That mouth in the front is like a big pocket, you can stick your hand into. Kids will no doubt hide things in there.Speaking of hiding things in there, the zippered opening, interestingly enough, is located almost right in the spot of the genital opening of an actual whale, talk about keeping it realistic lol! This is great if you want to add more stuffing or in my case, open it up and shift the stuffing when it was first removed from the vacuum sealed packaging and orange gift box it came in. I mean as an adult, I found it very convenient but this could be an issue with children. It certainly makes for a good hiding place or a potential mess if you have a child unzipping that and pulling out all the fluff inside. I can see a child hiding your keys either in the mouth or in the body. So conveniently located zipper for responsible teens and adults, not so conveniently located zipper for unruly children and adults lol.Now, about the price. As of now this is 70 dollars for the 120cm version here on Amazon. That isn't cheap but I did a Google search and it is much more expensive on other sites. 70 is legit the cheapest I have seen for this in this size and this exact stuffed whale shark. I've seen it available in gray and blue on here and other sites and this is the cheapest I've seen it in the 120cm size. I really really want the blue one as well, btw!! Anywho, the question is, is it worth it? Honestly, I think it's a beautiful stuffie and one that I had never seen before until now. It just looks so realistic and beautiful and cool!! If you love ocean life or natural looking stuffies, you will want this. You or the person you are getting it for will think it's worth every penny. By the way, to be clear I did get this at a discount in exchange for my review, not completely free but I absolutely would pay full price for this if I saw it by chance. Ihave no doubt that I will end up paying 70 for the blue one, that's how much I love this whale shark. For me, it's 5 stars but for others I'd say no less than 4 stars due to the location of the zipper. I started to give this 4 stars because of that but I can't bring myself to do it. I love this thing too much.

So this comes EXTREMELY compressed in a heavy duty pretty orange gift box. The size of a sheet of paper on the base, or a bit bigger, and 5" tall? Much smaller than you would expect for something this size, which makes it a lot of fun to see it opened up! Decently soft and very large when it decompresses, two thumbs up if you have a whale fan!

The first thing I need to mention is this comes in a really nice gift box so would be easy to give as a present. As for the plush itself. It's cute and a good representation of a whale shark. The print and sewn in detail is well above average. It comes vacuum packed and does take a day or so to fluff up. I think it's a little light on the stuffing, not to the point it squishes flat when hugged, but could stand a bit more. Fortunately there is a zipper on the belly that makes it easy to add more (or change it out should that become necessary. That's a nice touch. It has plastic eyes so might not be good for really young kids. It's the length listed. The photos make it look far bigger around than it is. It's not a small plush, but it's not big enough to be ridden as in the photo either. It's a good size to hold and hug though. It's not cheap, but given the detail level and how unusal it is to see a plush of this species, it's pretty reasonable.

I wanted to love this, I did. The one year old is currently obsessed with sharks and general fish. This was gotten as a gift for him and while he's excited about it, it just isn't justified for the price. I get that it's large, but it's so flat. There's no fluff to it. You have to add your own stuffing to make it look full. The box it arrives in as a "gift" is pretty cheap looking. The fabric and overall material is cheap as well. honestly the whole thing is just cheap, cheap, cheap.

Before our son was born we had a chance to see whale sharks in person at a regional aquarium and they are gorgeous. We had a little version of this, and got him this to cuddle on in the living room and use as a rest while reading for us as well. It is very well made and has great coloration and stitching. This is one of the best large stuffed animals we've ever owned and is very true to the animal itself. Just gorgeous!

This whale shark plush is so cool. It’s soft, huge and well-constructed. The mouth is also a hidden compartment that is just under a forearm deep.I attached photos of how it looks immediately after removal from the airtight packaging without any fluffing, and I think it looks pretty good considering how tightly it was packed. The packaging suggests fluffing or a quick delicate cycle in the dryer to fill it out.It also came in a gift box as well as with a nice, large gift bag—which is great for anyone intending to give it as a gift, but that could be a downside for someone eco-conscious. It would be nice for the extra bag to be optional. Also not a fan of the colorful water spray stitching on the top.Otherwise, this is really great! Yes, it’s pricey, but this is a unique purchase for a niche customer. So if you or someone you know is a whale shark lover, this is a great option!

This thing is GINORMOUS!!! My 3 year old daughter absolutely LOVES this BIG Whale Shark Plushie. The whole family enjoys this big guy. Even my older 2 boys have been caught laying &/or playing with it already.I was skeptical at first when we opened it as it was SO SMALL when it arrived. We did our best to "fluff" out the materials on the inside of the shark. Then we proceeded to let it sit out in the open for like 12 hours without being played with before we gave it to our daughter.I must say the size has GREATLY IMPROVED & The materials on the inside have done thier job! This thing is SO AWESOME!I would definitely recommend it!

The picture makes the product look a bit larger than it is, but it still is great for kids. Every time my 2 year old nephew sees this, he is immediately in love and plays with it until he tires himself out. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a gift for a toddler or just a large plushie to add to their collection!
