Une vie (French) Paperback – 5 Jan 2018

I love Guy De Maupassant, and he's quite easy to read in French for a non native speaker like me.

This is a well-written realistic book telling a wonderful French story of the 19th century. Good for advanced French learners to help them with reading, acquiring new words & expressions and finally understanding use of the historic past.

so predictable!boring ... thoughadequate longish description of life as it was ... good book if you want to go on holidays in normandy ... well documented

Well written as one would expect from such a classical author.A true to life story and a compelling easy read.Even though sheltered from needs in terms of parents' love and money, one bad decision can change all of that overnight and shatter one's future.The story highlights what some women have to endure whilst looking for happiness, including the abuse of a mother's unconditional love for her child.Happy ending.Quote " La vie, ca n'est jamais si bon ni si mauvais qu'on croit".Great value at no cost from Amazon.

De Maupassant knew well how to turn love into hatred and hatred into unconditional love. Another classic writer to have on one's Kindle.

I bought this book thinking it would be in French, because the "look inside" is in French, but no! is in English (sadly)... but is ok, the book is amazing :), but is not in French.
