Got this to carry my 13 pound elderly dog on the stairs since he can no longer climb stairs himself. While I can certainly carry him without the lift harness, it makes the experience safer because I can keep hold of the railing with my free hand. I still wrap a hand under him but the harness does a good job of keeping him stable.It is about an inch too long under his body and the neck strap is loose but I doubt there is a perfect lift harness given the wide array of dog bodies. It fits well enough to safely carry him up and down the stairs.Dash is compliant and trained to step into his walking harness so I just have to place his back feet in the lift harness. He has always stood quietly until the leash is attached. If your dog is squirmy - Good Luck. Best not to ask too much from an energetic puppy or frightened dog. Go slow with lots of treats. That said the hardest part is setting the length of the straps - just time consuming. Once that's done, it is just a matter of pulling the two sides together and snapping it on. Thanks to the people who uploaded photos of the harness laid out on the floor - they really help. Included instructions (with illustrations) are fine but not really needed. The customer photos are clear and all you really need.Nice little storage/carry bag included. Wonderful photo of a golden retriever on the front with their logo 'Senior Buddy' at the top. My neighbor has a golden named Buddy so I'll pass it on to her.

I only returned because it was too big. My dog was in between sizes. I will order in a size smaller. She’s a soft coated Wheaton terrier and weighs 40lbs. She’s 15 years old and struggles with her back legs. I like this one because it can strap the her body.

In a previous review I stated the shoulder strap was missing. That was incorrect. The harness works fairly well as designed.

I got this lift harness for my giant dog who is a Great Pyrenees. This harness is super easy to put on and fits him like a glove due to its awesome ability to adjust its straps. It’s very stable and secure and allows us to do many things that would typically be very challenging for him because of his size. The lift helps us hold him still to cut his nails because he doesn’t like getting his nails cut. It also helps us lift him up stairs. This harness would be really helpful for senior dogs or dogs who have undergone leg surgery and are working on gaining mobility back. It’d also be helpful for getting senior dogs into cars or simply walking if they have arthritis. It’s a great tool to have in general for times like these. It’s best to be gentle with your dog instead of being harsh on their joints. I highly recommend this.

I got this to help my dog while he had a knee injury and it's exactly what I needed! I tried the help 'em up harness but I cannot lift him fully in it. This one helps me carry my pup when it's too hard for him to make it home. It also helps me lift him in and out of the car. I love that it fully supports the length of his whole body and straps his chest in legs in like a harness should. You have the long straps to carry them and also two side straps that make it easy for quick lifts. I got a little backpack to take the harness with me on walks in case we get "stuck". He is a cattle dog mix. He usually wears size M in harnesses, but we got a size L and it fits great. He is 48-50 lbs.

The supports on my dog legs, and the hips area are badly designed. It didn't provide sufficient support. I didn't use as it made my dog very uncomfortable.

The media could not be loaded. Really impressed with this product! It is made very well and super easy to put on and take off.I chose an XL for my 65lb pitty. I was on the fence ordering a L vs XL but I wanted to be able to use it for my swissy as well, and he's 110lbs. I am able to tighten it enough that it fits her comfortably and isn't too loose.I can say this has made my life 5000% easier getting them into the back of my car and it is SO much easier on their joints not having to jump and land so hard.Highly recommend!

I sent it back because it didn't work for us (too many velcro flaps and straps.) But it could work fine for others as it was a quality product.
