Sally HansenMiracle Gel Nail Polish, Shade Poppy Patch 434 (Packaging May Vary)

This is one of my favorite nail polishes! It lasts without any chips for up to a week if applied properly, and the color is fantastic. This is NOT a true red but a cadmium red (i.e. there is a hint of orange to it). This color has a more youthful appearance rather than sophisticated feel, which is what true reds achieve in my opinion.

Bought the color Poppy - expecting it to be a bright red since by definition Poppy is red (and it looked bright red online). The color is actually bright orange and it cannot be returned. Highly upset.Update: Amazon took care of it and gave me a full refund despite not being able to ship this item back.

I love sally Hansen’s products especially the gel products but I wanted RED nail polish and this was far from it it’s dark orange and I feel like they should say that because you are NOT ALLOWED TO RETURN IT AND I BOUGHT TWO UGHHHHHHH

I wanted to love this product but I just don't. The color was correct but it lasted only 1 day before it started to come off (used SH top coat). I will use it for adding that perfect accent to the perfect outfit.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR RED POLISH THIS IS NOT THE ONE. IT IS MORE OF A CORAL COLOR - NOT EVEN A "REDDISH ORANGE". I SEARCHED FOR "RED POLISH"....NOT RED AT ALL!

I like the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail polish but I do not the poppy color. I like pink not orange.

Not able to find this colour on the high street anymore so was very pleased to find it online. Very good delivery and can fully recommend it as the best polish I have used.

I have got broken nailpolish which is disgusting

Day five and my nails are still shiny with no signs of chipping or the polish wearing away. I used my regular base and top coats though Sally Hansen gel top coat is recommended for two weeks wear.The colour is a true Poppy red, no blue undertones at all. I have been impressed by how easy the polish is to apply, one coat gives an even coverage but two are needed for the true colour to come through. If you have ridged nails you will find this is a self leveling polish, it also dries pretty quickly between coats. The brush is the perfect shape for getting right to the base of each nail and two strokes are all that's required for total coverage. It's a very easy brush to hold securely because of the rubberised finish on the handle. My one niggle is the bottle neck could be a little wider, it's not enough for me to deduct a star though.I found this very easy to apply and am well pleased with how it stays looking great after days of wear.

This is a nail varnish designed to look like a gel. The idea is that you use two coats, followed by a Sally Hansen Miracle Gel top coat. Not having the top coat, I was testing this on the varnish alone. This is clearly a varnish designed to be layered. One coat alone is ok, but to look like a gel you need two, or possibly three. I did find three had a better effect.The advert suggests this lasts 14 days. Well, not if, like me, you still use a sink to wash up. Admittedly I find even gel nails sometimes chip under the stress of chopping veg for Sunday dinner - this did slightly better (or my chopping was a bit more accurate), but the cleaning up afterwards did lead to a thinning of one nail, and a small hole showing up. Typing over the next few days did make one or two nails look a little distressed at the edges.That said - this coped far better than any other non gel I have tried. After four days it was still good enough to wear around, and it was easy to touch up, adding another layer to heal any distressed edges.This doesn't require a light to set, but it does take time. It may be touch dry relatively quickly - but do not try to pull up jeans for at least half and hour to 40 minutes. Or rummage through a bag. The best course is to apply, sit back, and chill out. This gives a far better result. It avoids the dreaded "smudge" that I remember so well from my teenage years (usually just before you were due to leave!)So, generally speaking, I do like this as a nail polish. The red is the orangier side of red, but it works. The finish is smooth and it lasts well. I cannot comment on further advantages from using the top coat however - hopefully this would improve longevity further.
