Amazing, Educational, and Fun!
This kit was SO much fun. I bought it for my kids, ages 10 and 6, to make for Halloween. The directions were clear and easy to follow. Everything we needed (minus eggs/milk/butter) was in the kit. My kids were able to do most of the steps independently. Our finished product was so cute but also tasty. It also included a cute STEM activity to do while you were waiting for bake and cook time. I will definitely buy an I’m the Chef Too kit again! Highly recommend.

Time consuming
I tried making this with my 5 year old who loves zombies and it’s very time consuming. You prepare the mix and it takes about 25 minutes to bake. After this you have to let it cool off so that’s at least an hour of just waiting for the next step. You pour the chocolate into the 4 molds and it’s not enough chocolate to make a thick coating and then you wait another 30 minutes for it to freeze. You take the mold out and fill with the cake balls and put a coat of chocolate on top of the cake balls and per the instructions wait another 30 minutes for it to freeze. You then take out the mold that has the chocolate covered cake ball out which is COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE without breaking the thin layer of chocolate. At this point I gave up and just had dirt cake with green icing. What a waste of time and money!!

Delicious, fun for kids!!
As a former bakery staff, I am fairly adept at baking. That being said, this kit is mostly beginner-friendly and perfect for making with the kiddo(s) in your life. The chocolate cake mix whips up easily and is quite good, although next time I would use half as much oil as recommended. The silicone brain molds are fun for more than single use, and would also make cool ice cubes. Brain freeze puns are being omitted for your benefit, dear reader, haha. The instructions were easy to follow and resulted in a tasty and aesthetic end product. As a note, I only used half of the tombstones and zombie hands, as using them all would overcrowd my cake pan. I guess I have leftover supplies to make this again next year.As for the negatives, this kit didn't come with quite enough chocolate to comfortably fill the molds. Referencing my precious baking experience, I know chocolate can be spread fairly thin for a cake pop but even so, it was a challenge to make these come out right. I imagine a child might need lots of help with this step to keep the brain even. I find clean fingertips are easier than a spoon. Despite my best efforts, one of the brains cracked as I got it out of the mold. Oh well. Also, the kit has you make a massive amount of icing, yet you only need two tablespoons of it for the cake pops. Strange. I used most of the remaining icing in the green goo versus making a whole second batch of goo icing, and therefore have half a bag of powdered sugar set back for a future baking project. Not a big deal, but it didn't feel well thought out by the company to do this.It also caused me to make A LOT of dishes. You also need to supply many od your own ingredients, including oil, eggs, butter, a cake pan, and vanilla. A kit at this price point shouldn't require so many of my own products which add to the total cost of the final cake.

Fun, messy, cool learning tool!
This kit came complete with everything it was supposed to. The packaging/artwork is very fun and appealing to kids. The process for making the Zombie Brain Bites makes this a fun learning experience for kiddos. Be warned: it is a messy process. But honestly, most fun things are, right?I've gotten a few of these I'm the Chef Too STEM kits, and they're all about the same, value-wise. It's a nice, complete, fun, colorful package that's perfect for turning the project into an event. I think if I were a parent, I would try to put together my own project kits for stuff like this. That said, these kits are a fun gift to give, especially as an aunt who doesn't have to be around for the cleanup![This is a review for I’m the Chef Too Zombie Brain Bites Halloween Kit, DIY Kids Baking Kit to Bake Your Own Cake, Adventurous and Fun Small Halloween Toys, Edible Halloween Sprinkles and Decorations B0CJFW98RP]

Family fun time
Our family had a fun time making these. They worked out well for the most part. Two of the four brains came out intact. Icing on the other two stuck to the mold.We gave bowls of the crumbles to four kids and they devoured them all with three asking for seconds. Clearly, the recipe is delicious. The instruction cards were really nice quality and ideal for kitchen usage around messy food items. The packaging itself was heavily geared towards the idea that this would be a gift item.Overall, this was a great activity for the family to share quality time together.
