I had given this item a 1 star and bad review because I wasnt giving any instructions of how it worked. Now that I know how to properly use it I changed it to 5 stars. The proper way to use it is #1 you need your phone charger to plug it in the small port of the slim port to give it power to display it on your TV. This does not mean it will charge your phone at the same time too. On some phone it will charge your device (G4). Now #2 this one is important, you have to put your phone on airplane mode in order not to lose connection from your device to your TV. If you don't do this video from your phone to the TV will be cutting in and out all the time or won't display it at all. On some phones it might work without using airplane mode. But I know that on mine (G4) it won't work unless I put it on airplane mode. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy your product!!.. I was pretty close to throwing mine away in frustration. I have an LG G3 and love the quality of watching videos on it, so I would love to transfer what I see on my LG G3, for example showbox, on my tv. This cable works with my LG G3 and Sceptre TV. But...there is a huge problem. Multiple times my tv will lose the signal, and my show will keep on playing on my phone. It will take a couple of seconds for the signal to come back, or I need to unplug and plug the adapter for the signal to return.. Another thing is that I cannot charge my phone. There's a port where I can use my charger to charge my phone while using the adapter, but it never worked for my LG G3. Actually, when I pulled out my charger cable from the adapter, an internal piece of the adapter came out with it. I do not recommend this product, ignore the price and move on. I would suggest finding another brand for an adaptor for an LG G3 phone. If this is the only one available for you, just be aware that you might come across a signal product when you use it.

Worked perfectly. One side goes into the LG G3 (mine is from T-Mobile) the other will connect to your HDMI Cable (in my case, I connected it to the Asus S1 travel projector) and you even have a plug on the side so you can charge it while it's working. It transfers audio and video in great quality.Once connected, your monitor/projector/display will basically mimic exactly what you see on the phone. With NO lag. It's like working on a giant phone. I was especially happy to find out that if you use the built in Video playing app on the LG G3, it knows you have connected an external device when playing videos and will let you turn the screen off to save battery while playing a video. The projector is even smart enough to change the orientation based on how the phone is held.I got my phone connected to a couple of Philips ShoqBox bluetooth speakers and now it's officially MOVIE TIME!

not sure if this adapter is slowing down my charger or what. my tablet battery drains as if the charger were NOT plugged in but it IS plugged in & charging? maybe my tablet playing videos just burns more than it can recharge? I have to plug my phone in & out several times to get it to connect to the tv? I am NOT technology savvy so it could just be me.

The item is a great idea. I had the same experience most of the others had. The device will flash on and off when it does work and not work most often. The Seller is AWESOME. They agreed to refund my purchase and I was provided a USPS prepaid label to return. Too bad it didn't work with our LG G3, but this seller handles their business like a rock star. 0 star for product 5+ for seller.

Works great to play movies from my phone while traveling. Not very sturdy - the micro-USB port built in for charging my phone while in use pushed into the case the second time i used it. Still works fine, just can't charge the phone at the same time.

It works, but you have to be careful to insert it completely into the phone. Took a bit more pressure than the charging cord, and I still had to rock it back and forth to make a complete connection. So far, it is still working.
