Just received this, hopefully, fireproof & waterproof safe. If you think this one is kind of like a small gun safe, it is not. It's not thick or real heavy. Hopefully, our papers will be safe from fire, at least, if they all fit in it. Get what you pay for, I guess. Oh, yea, the sensor led light, is not working. Don't know abt the alarm.

I liked this safe- I had originally bought a 2.9 c sq ft one from another manufacture that wasn't large enough. I didn't want to go up to 6 c sq ft as I thought it might be too big, but it was perfect. Good weight, packed well, easy set up.Hint, to remove the oval gray plastic key hole covers gently push at the bottom of them and the top will pop out for easy removal. You're welcome.When both doors are open it does present a tipping hazard, but as long as you're aware and keep small kids and pets away and don't let them play on or around it you should be fine. It also comes with anchors to mount into the wall, so if you do have children, it would be good to utilize that feature.

I’ve wanted a nice mid sized safe for some time now and looked around for a decent one on Amazon and eventually decided on this bad boy.
