Unable to open clasp on watch pls let me know how

Have only worn the watch once. The face is a lot smaller than in the pictures showing it and the date unless your eyesight is perfect you can't read the date I have to use a magnifying glass and angle it carefully to see date so that's no use to me but it does look quite nice on the arm nice strap easy opening and closing.
