C406 Bike Computer with Holder, Waterproof GPS Cycling Computer, Wireless Smart Road Bicycle Monitor, 2.5 Inch LCD Screen

Having watched loads of YouTube videos and online reviews of this Magene C406 bike computer I purchased one and followed the instructions on the accompanying leaflet. However, I was unable to 'bind' the app. I tried everything I could but to no avail. At a loss for what to try next I emailed Magene Customer support, told them everything I had tried and awaited their reply.They informed me that the Magene C406 no longer works with the Magene Utility App and instructed me to download the Onelap Fit app instead. I did this and was instantly able to connect the bike computer to the app.I would like to see the instructions amended to state the correct app to use but other than that I am looking forward to many miles of cycling with the new bike computer and to the volume of information that I will be able to access.

Do not purchase this cycling computer, it doesn't work now. Buy something better like Garmin, even if you have to spend more money on a decent reliable cycling computer. In Spring last year (2023), I purchased a Magene c406 Cycling computer for my road bike. I set up the cycling computer using the Magene Utility App from Google Playstore installed on my Android phone. The instructions were ok-ish and had no problems setting up and using the c406. My GPS ride data was uploaded via bluetooth using the OneLapFit app on my Android phone. Great. In fact, I was impressed and purchased a second one for my mountain bike. However, since January 2024, for whatever reason, the Magene Utility app has just stopped working?? Also, the c406 cycling computer will no longer connect to my phone using bluetooth; and ride data cannot now be uploaded (using OneLapFit app) to their servers?? I have tried everything, watched many videos, no solutions found. My second c406 cycling computer in still in the box, as brand new, because it cannot be programmed with user data like: date, time, wheel size, location, height, body weight, miles or kilometers, etc., and is completely useless without the Magene Utility app. I have contacted Magene but no one ever responds to emails or call, they aren't interested. So, now I'm left with 2 x c406 GPS cycling computers which are completely useless without the app to be able to program and initialise the cycling computers during setup, and for use thereafter. Sketchy customer service. What a total waste of money. I feel conned...

Was sceptical about buying this to replace my Garmin edge 25, especially at the price point. Couldn't have been more wrong! It displays all the metrics I need (so what if it doesn't display mph). A bit of fiddling about to deduce I needed to download the ONELAPFIT app instead of Magene but that was it. Connected, cadence and hrm sesnors with ease (both are Garmin) and they work 100%Been on 4 rides with it so far (4hr, 2hr,2hr&1.5hr) and the battery is still at 65%!!!!!The UI isn't as polished as Garmin Connect but it syncs effortlessly to Strava and at a quarter of the price of a Garmin counterpart, I can more than Live with that. Even my die hard Garmin cycling buddies were asking me about IT.Haven't seen how it holds up under heavy rain so the jury's out on that one, but would wholeheartedly recommend this product 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Looks great and says all the write things so I took a punt.This product is useless. Takes almost 2 miles to pick up gps even on a clear sunny may morning. Custom menu options don't work, randomly pauses your ride, no trouble shooting help at all.On the plus side it does upload to strava very quickly.Avoid if you want your ride recorded, buy if you don't mind missing a few miles and segments.

the unit works well but the instructions tell you to load the wrong app, don't explain the units symbols which you need to understand and I still cannot get the right app to connect with strava!

Bought this cycle computer to use in winter as a backup, the thought of getting my Garmin soaked and ruined was not good.To use or change the settings on the Magene computer you need to download the free software. Changing the information displayed on the pages is quite easy but the choices are limited.Plenty of pages available for you to configure.Build quality looks good.I have used it about a dozen times and it has worked well, All units are metric, like speed and distance in Km.Connects well to Strave to share information.For the price I am very pleased with it so far, you need to have some ability to configure the unit and pair heart rate monitor and cadence sensor but not to difficult.Sat Nav shows your route but you cannot create rides on it, shows you where you've been not where you want to go.I am happy I bought this cycle computer but only time will tell regarding durability.Woukd recomend for the price.

This Magene 406c bike computer does & is excellent ,I also bought Magene Speed & Cadence sensors too , which were very easy to connect to the head unit , I'm very very happy with all these MageneI would & have recommended this to fellow bike friends

Similar to other reviews, from getting the device, it showed it wanted updating.The instructions have a qr code to scan and download the app..which is out of date and no longer supported, so had to download another.The app was partly in Chinese, changed the settings, but still in Chinese.The app states the device needs updating, but wouldn't update.The speed was stuck in km/h.When riding the device shuts off after 3 mins.No rides were saved or logged.Speed showed but not logged.Sent message to company via email and chat through app, no response to either.Following chat through amazon, advised to return.Sent back and got refund.
